At the NJPW Royal Quest III event, Tama Tonga joined forces with El Phantasmo and Tanga Loa to secure a victory over Alex Coughlin, Gabe Kidd, and David Finlay. In another notable match at the same event, Shingo Takagi achieved a significant win by defeating Tomohiro Ishii.
Tama Tonga captured the NEVER Openweight title by defeating David Finlay at NJPW Destruction in Ryogoku. His next match will mark his first title defense as the champion.
NJPW Fighting Spirit Unleashed event is scheduled for October 28, 2023, and it will be live from Sam’s Town in Las Vegas, NV.  NJPW Strong Openweight title match is also set for the event where Eddie Kingston will face HENARE.
