NJPW has revealed the date for World Tag League 2023 tournament events.

New Japan Pro-Wrestling recently announced via their Twitter post that the NJPW World Tag League is scheduled to start on November 20 and will continue until December 10. Specific dates and locations will be revealed soon.

While the participating teams have not been revealed as of now, it is confirmed that the winners of the NJPW World Tag League will earn a chance to challenge the IWGP World Tag Team Champions at Wrestle Kingdom 18.

The current IWGP World Team Champions are Bishamon (Hirooki Goto and Yoshi-Hashi). Bishamon won the IWGP World Tag Team title at the NJPW World Tag League 2022 by defeating Kyle Fletcher and Mark Davis.

Bishamon won the World Tag League 2022 tournament and later defeated FTR at Wrestle Kingdom 17 to win IWGP World Tag Team Championship.

The NJPW World Tag League is a longstanding tradition within NJPW, with the tournament taking place annually. The inaugural edition of the league started in 1980, where Inoi and Backlund defeated Hogan and Hansen.

For the last few years, World Tag League and Super Junior Tag League tournaments were running in the same schedules. However, it will not be the case this year as Super Junior Tag League 2023 will take place from October 21 to November 4.
