Lyra Valkyria pulled off a surprising upset, dethroning Becky Lynch to become the new NXT Women’s Champion. During this momentous match, Jade Cargill, positioned on a throne above the ring, observed the full match.
Valkyria secured her stunning upset victory by pinning Lynch with a deep lateral press. Lynch later posted on social media, suggesting a bright future, and shared a picture of the Irish flag, emphasizing the shared Irish heritage of both Lynch and Valkyria.

Becky Lynch’s championship reign concluded after just 43 days. She initially won the title on September 12 episode of WWE NXT by defeating Tiffany Stratton. Additionally, Valkyria’s triumph gave her her first-ever championship in WWE.
Lyra Valkyria has acknowledged Becky Lynch as her source of inspiration in her wrestling career. Valkyria first opponent will be revealed on October 31, when Lola Vice and Kelani Jordan will compete in the finals of the 2023 NXT Women’s Breakout Tournament.
