Logan Paul defeated Ricochet using brass knuckles at WWE Summerslam 2023 in a battle of high flyer athletic wrestlers. Check the live blog of the match below.
Storyline
This match is defined as the match of the moment makers as both Ricochet and Logan had some famous spots at Royal Rumble and Money in the Bank matches. After the Money in the Bank event, Logan Paul accused Ricochet of targeting him instead of focusing on winning the match. He even attacked Ricochet backstage as he cost him the match.
Ricochet and Logan came face-to-face on the July 10 episode of Raw where Ricochet challenged Logan to a match but the latter declined. After having some back and forth the following weeks, Paul eventually accepted the challenge on July 24 after he attacked Ricochet.
Live Blog
Logan Paul is the first one to make his entrance. He is followed by Ricochet who enters the ring second.
Ricochet starts things off with a slap. Logan charges, but Ricochet ducks and then hit him with a dropkick to send him out of the ring. Ricochet runs and fakes a suicide dive only to springboard off the ropes.
Both men start running and eventually, Logan catches Ricochet with a back elbow. Logan puts him in a chinlock before sending Ricochet to the apron where Logan hits him with the neckbreaker.
Logan now controls the match and hits Ricochet with several body shots in the corner. The referee separates them but Logan comes back for more. Logan hits a running power slam to get a two-count.
Logan Paul mimics Hulk Hogan as he hits a big boot followed by a leg drop for another two count. Ricochet takes Logan down and mimics People’s Elbow, but he ends up hitting a standing moonsault.
Logan comes with a springboard clothesline before he attempts to hit the Spanis Fly from the apron. However, both land on their feet, and then Ricochet hits the same move on the floor.
Ricochet gets inside the ring, but Logan pulls him out and hits a buckshot lariat. Logan goes to the top rope and hits a cross body followed by a standing moonsault to get a two-count.
Ricochet sends Logan into the ring post and then hits a hurricane neckbreaker from the top rope. After some fury of kicks and elbows, Ricochet connects the standing shooting star to get a two-count.
Logan ducks Ricochet’s side kicks and hits an elbow. Ricochet goes for the moonsault but Logan counters it with a DDT. Ricochet gets to the top and tries to hit the shooting star press,but Logan gets his knees up and gets a two-count.
Logan hits a monkey flip followed by a springboard splash for a nearfall. Ricochet hits a superkick followed by a detonation kick, rolling senton and springboard moonsault. Ricochet goes to the top but Logan avoids the 630-splash.
One of the crew members puts the brass knuckles on Logan’s hand which he uses to hit the one lucky punch and get the pinfall.
