Although it is needed to be taken with a pinch of salt, Dave Meltzer, on Wrestling Observer Radio, commented on the future of current WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions– Kairi Sane and Asuka.

On the latest Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer reported that Kairi Sane’s WWE contract is up early next year. And she is looking to leave the company. And there is very limited possibility that she will re-sign with the company as she might want to explore other options.

“Kairi Sane, I could definitely see her leaving. I don’t know that she’s gonna leave, but she’s definitely expressed interest in exploring other options.”

31 years old Pirate Princess started her WWE journey with NXT after signing a three-year contract in March 2017. She won the Mae Young Classic tournament in 2017 and later won the NXT Women’s Championship in August 2018. Sane was called up to the main roster as Asuka’s tag team partner after WrestleMania this year.

Discussing Asuka, Dave Meltzer commented that the rumors that she could be leaving WWE when her contract is up. But he believes that she is actually quite happy with her WWE career so far.

“I’ve heard no rumblings whatsoever of Asuka leaving — I’m under the impression she’s very happy in this country.”

Asuka has a stellar start of her NXT career as she remained undefeated throughout her run with the brand. She became the NXT Women’s Champion at NXT TakeOver: Dallas on 1 April 2016 and remained the champion until her main roster call-up in September 2017.
