Orange Cassidy won AEW International Championship by defeating Rey Fenix on October 10, 2023, episode of AEW Dynamite.

Initially, Fenix was set to defend his title against Jon Moxley, but Tony Khan announced that Moxley was not medically cleared to compete. Consequently, Orange Cassidy replaced Moxley in the scheduled title match.

During the October 10 episode of AEW Dynamite, Orange Cassidy secured a victory over Fenix, thus becoming a two-time AEW International Champion. Cassidy’s win was sealed with his Orange Punch.

Cassidy’s reign as the AEW International Champion was interrupted when he lost the title to Jon Moxley at AEW All Out 2023 PPV main event. During his initial tenure as champion, Cassidy successfully defended the title an impressive 31 times, making him the longest-reigning AEW International Champion. However, Cassidy has now managed to reclaim his title.

Cassidy’s victory marked the conclusion of Fenix’s 21-day reign as the International Champion. Fenix had won the title by defeating Jon Moxley at AEW Dynamite: Grand Slam.
