Christian Cage will defend his AEW TNT title against Darby Allin at AEW WrestleDream 2023 PPV event.
Cage won the title at September 23 episode of AEW Collision by defeating Luchasaurus and Darby in a triple threat match. Christian and Luchasaurus worked on Darby together throughout the match. However, Darby managed a fightback later into the match.
Darby hit Luchasaurus with a Coffin Drop when Christian capitalized by throwing him out and pinned Luchasaurus to become the new champion. During the same episode In the backstage promo, Christian announced he will defend the title against Darby Allin in a 2-out-of-3 Falls Match at AEW WrestleDream.

Cage is now officially recognized as the TNT Champion, as when Luchasaurus won the title, Cage declared himself the champion. Allin has previously had the chance to win the TNT title at AEW All Out 2023 PPV event but he failed when he was defeated by Luchasaurus.
Christian Cage’s victory marks his first official AEW Championship win and his first championship since he defeated Kenny Omega on the inaugural episode of AEW Rampage in 2021, claiming the IMPACT Wrestling World Championship.
AEW WrestleDream 2023 PPV event is scheduled for October 1, 2023, at Climate Pledge Arena in Seattle, WA. Bryan Danielson is also set for the event where he will face Zack Sabre Jr.
