On October 28 episode of AEW Collision, Claudio Castagnoli mentioned that Danielson had sustained a broken orbital bone. He wasn’t certain whether it resulted from the actions of Cassidy or Okada, but he expressed his determination to seek revenge regardless.
Castagnoli stated his intention to track down Okada, whether in the United States or Japan. Additionally, Castagnoli is set to face Cassidy on November 1 episode of AEW Dynamite for AEW International title.
According to Tony Schiavone’s commentary, there is a possibility that Danielson might be sidelined for the remainder of the year after undergoing surgery. As of now, the exact date of Danielson’s return to the ring remains uncertain.
Danielson also sustained an injury during the Forbidden Door 2023 PPV event when he faced Kazuchika Okada. Despite winning the match, it was later disclosed that he had suffered a forearm fracture.
