AEW Dynamite October 25, 2023 episode took place at Liacouras Center in Philadelphia, PA, and we were covering the complete results from the show here.

The show was set to feature Dynamite Diamond ring match between MJF and Juice Robinson as the opener. Kazuchika Okada returned to team up with Orange Cassidy to face BCC’s Claudio Castagnoli & Bryan Danielson. Rob Van Dam and Hook took on Dark Order.

ROH Six-Man Tag Team Championship was set between The Hungbucks and The Hardys & Brother Zay. Hikaru Shida and Ruby Soho clashed over AEW Women’s Championship. Tony Khan had a gift for Sting after his retirement was announced. Renee Paquette interviewed Chris Jericho. Tune in below for complete results and updates from the show.

RESULTS

  • MJF defeated Juice Robinson in Dynamite Diamond Ring match via pinfall.
  • Rob Van Dam & Hook defeated Dark Order(Alex Reynolds & John Silver) in a tag team match via pinfall.
  • Adam Page and The Young Bucks(Matt and Nick Jackson)(c) defeated The Hardys (Matt Hardy and Jeff Hardy) and Brother Zay in a tag team match via pinfall to retain ROH World Six-Man Tag Team Championship.
  • Hikaru Shida(c) defeated Ruby Soho in a singles match via pinfall to retain AEW Women’s Championship.
  • Bryan Danielson & Claudio Castagnoli defeated Orange Cassidy & Kazuchika Okada in a tag team match via pinfall.

LIVE UPDATES

MJF is backstage with Renee Paquette and wants to make a quick call to Adam Cole who has had surgery finally. Roderick Strong and The Kingdom come in. Cole cuts the call hearing him scream “Adam”. MJF pushes Strong away when he offers to help him. MJF then screams at the camera, sending a message to Juice Robinson. The screen cut to the Man in Devil Mask for a while before going live from the arena. Juice Robinson makes his entrance with The Gunns. MJF marches out in anger.

MJF vs Juice Robinson – Dynamite Diamond Ring match

MJF starts with a double leg takedown as he is agitated. Juice rolls to the floor to regroup but MJF throws him around in the barricade and table. He spits water in his face before taking an extended run to hit a knee strike. He continues to be in control and keeps breaking 10 count in between. Juice’s head is busted open even before MJF slams his head into the steel steps. A distraction comes from The Gunns and Juice finally counters to slam MJF’s face into the ringpost. Juice hits a DDT on the apron. He chokes MJF with his scarf for a short while. White has come out to the stage to watch the match. We cut to a break.

The Gunns try to help Juice with the scarf behind the referee’s back but MJF catches it and chokes Juice with it. The referee catches him and throws the scarf out. MJF creates momentum with clothesline, back elbow and body slam. He slams the face into the turnbuckle. He hits countdown punches from the second rope. MJF lines up and hits Kangaroo kick. The Gunn pull his leg when he goes for a suicide dive and Juice hits a thrust kick. MJF gets mad and asks for more punches. Juice rakes his eyes but MJF ducks a clothesline and flicks at Juice’s eyes. Juice spits at MJF and lands Left Hand of God and a powerbomb to get a two-count.

MJF hits a stomp at his arm from the second rope. He sets up heat sinker but Juice avoids it. MJF hits a suicide dive on The Gunns on the floor. He traps Juice in the apron and flicks his eyes. Juice hits a kick to the ropes for a low blow. He hits Pulp Fiction to get a near fall. The Gunns gets on the apron, which distracts the referee. MJF hits Juice with Diamond ring behind his back. He also decks The Gunns off the apron and hits Heatsinker on Juice to get the pinfall.

Winner – MJF

The Gunns attack MJF after the match. Roderick Strong and The Kingdom run out. The Kingdom try to make the save but are cleared from the ring. The Acclaimed and Billy Gunn run out and attack Bullet Club Gold trio to force them leave. Jay White takes the mic on the stage and tells him to forget about other challengers, as he will pummel him at Full Gear. Colten Gunn takes the mic and challenges MJF for ROH Tag Team titles at Full Gear.

MJF tells them to shut up when they continue to trash talk. He agrees to tag title match. He also challenges Bullet Club for 8-man tag team match, and if his team wins, White has to return AEW World title belt to him. Strong screams at MJF and says he is obviously gonna pick them for the match. MJF tells them to roll off a cliff. Max Caster then says it means that MJF will pick them. MJF tells Caster that he never liked him and will never tag with him even if he is in fire. Caster only hears that there is a chance. Anthony Bowens tells MJF that there is no chance MJF hates them as everyone loves the Acclaimed. He asks MJF to scissor but MJF closes his hand and walks away.

Kenny Omega comes out to the stage as MJF reaches there. Omega says MJF has got a lot going on, so he will cut to the chase. MJF has something he wants, and Omega has something MJF wants. Omega then says if MJF is what he claims to be, Omega wants a right to protect his streak(longest AEW World Title reign). Omega challenges MJF for AEW World title match this Saturday at Collision. MJF accepts the challenge and says his catchphrase “Better Than You”. Omega bids everyone good night, but pulls MJF in and tells him, “3 days,, bit##”.

Rob Van Dam & Hook vs Dark Order(Alex Reynolds & John Silver)

Hook starts against Reynolds. Reynolds shoves Hook who then takes him down to the mat. Hook hits a slam before tagging in RVD. RVD hits an armdrag. Reynolds runs him from behind when he turns his back. Silver also jumps on him after the tag. RVD hits him with a monkey flip. Hook comes in to hit a fireman’s carry slam on Reynolds when he barges in. We cut to a break.

Hook hits a Northern Lights suplex as we return. RVD tags in and hits clotheslines. He hits a leaping leg drop before Reynolds comes in. RVD sends him to the apron and kicks him away. He hits a rolling thunder on Silver. Reynolds breaks the pin. RVD hits him with a Northern Lights suplex. Silver eats a springboard kick. Hook tags in and hits him with big shots. Reynolds comes in and hits him with a kick. Evil Uno comes inn with a steel chair but RVD deals with him easily. He hits Reynolds with a frog splash. Silver tries to hit him with running knee but Hook puts Silver in RedRum to get the submission.

Winner – Rob Van Dam & Hook

We cut backstage to RJ City who says its time for the premier of  “Hold That Butler.” where Toni Storm tells him just to play the picture. A video plays in a picture-in-picture split-screen window in black-and-white during commercials.

Tony Khan’s Gift

Tony Schiavone brings out Sting and Darby Allin. Sting says there is so much history with Philadelphia and wants to thank everyone here. He also wants to thank Darby and says he has been the best tag team partner. He also wants to thank Tony Khan for bringing him to AEW. Schiavone takes the mic back and thanks Sting from Khan’s side. Schiavone says Sting put pro wrestling on the map on TBS and he is thrilled to be a part of it. Schiavone then mentions about a special gift from Tony Khan. The special gift is…

Ric Flair’s music hits and he makes his way out. Flair takes the mic and says there are moments in life that are magical.. they are few and far between, but these moments makes you the best. He talks about their match at Clash of Champions going against WrestleMania 35 years ago. Flair then adds that he wants to ride the wagon with Sting until his retirement at AEW Revolution 2024.

Christian Cage comes out to the stage at Luchasaurus and Nick Wayne. He says Khan has given a man in suit, some gold chains and a black liver as a gift. He compares Flair with Weekend at Bernie’s. Cage says he knows Flair is not dead, and he is sure there is no God, otherwise Flair would be dead 20 years ago. He turns the attention on Darby and Sting poking their nose in his matters. He does not want until Revolution 2024 for Sting to be gone. So, he challenges them for a trios match at Full Gear, and they can find themselves a partner. Sting sneezes and says he is sorry that he is allergic to jacka##. He accepts the challenge.


Chris Jericho is interviewed by Renee Paquette backstage and they talk about the beating he got from Powerhouse Hobbs. Jericho says he was unable to dig out of the hole Hobbs dig him in with spinebusters. Jericho says he has some friends that are even bigger than Hobbs, and it might be time to give them a call.

Adam Page & The Young Bucks (Matt and Nick Jackson)(c) vs The Hardys(Matt Hardy & Jeff Hardy) & Brother Zay – ROH World Six-Man Tag Team Championship match

Zay and Nick start the match. Nick hits a couple of armdrags to take him to the corner. Matt Jackson tags in and knocks off the Jeff from the apron before hitting a corner splash on Zay. Page hits a flying clothesline from the top rope. Matt Hardy tags in and hits a hard slap on Page. Page gets angry but the referee keeps him away from the corner. Nick tags back in but Matt Hardy agitates him also. Jeff hits Nick him with knee from outside. Matt Hardy hits Side Effect on Nick to get a two-count. Zay hits a tornillo on Matt Jackson and Page. Zay and Matt Hardy do the Young Bucks pose in the ring to take us to a break.

The Hardys and Zay are in controll. Matt hits a double Northern Lights suplex on Hardy and Zay. Page tags in and throws Matt and Jeff out of the ring. He hits a clothesline on Matt Hardy to knock him to the floor. He hits a fallaway slam on Zay before a dive outside. A Death Valley Driver on Zay follows to get a two-count. Jeff saves Zay from a suplex and Zay counters with a DDT. Matt hits a series of superkicks on all three opponents. Zay blocks their attack and hits a double superkick.

Jeff hits a Twist of Fate on Nick before Zay swipes other two on the floor. Matt is hit with a Twist of Fate and a Swanton Bomb by Jeff. Nick Jackson breaks the pin. Matt Jackson pushes Matt Hardy into a shot from Nick. Hardy slips to tag in Zay. Page hits him with buckshot lariat. Bucks clear the Hardys and hit BTE trigger on Zay to get the pinfall.

Winner – Adam Page & The Young Bucks

On the big screen, we see Swerve Strickland who welcomes us to the Hangman’s residence. Page runs to the back. Swerve roams around the house and also has Prince Nana with him. He gets into Hangman’s son’s room and says Hangman cost him a title opportunity, so, he will pay for it. But, it will not be today. And to remember this moment, he throws in Prince Nana shirt in the cradle.


Adam Copeland is interviewed backstage and he still does not want to fight Christian Cage as it is much more than whatever happens in this business. Darby Allin and Sting come in. Darby gives him his own example that he had to fight Nick Wayne despite not wanting to do it. Sting screams at him to not have his blinder on.

Hikaru Shida(c) vs Ruby Soho – AEW Women’s Championship.

They lock up to start the match. Shida breaks when they reach the ropes. Ruby hits her with chop. Shida blocks a Russian leg sweep. Ruby blocks a backslide. Shida ducks some strikes before Ruby corners her. Shida hits a kick to midsection. She hits a crossbody and a body slam. She corners Shida with big rights. Ruby gets her down with a back heel trip. They circle around in the ring as they turn each other into pin attempts. Shida hits more punches in the corner before hitting a missile dropkick. Ruby rolls to the floor. She catches Shida with No Future after pulling her off the apron. We cut to a break.

Shida hits a jumping knee as we return. They trade shots before Shida gets Ruby up in a torture rack. She hits a sliding elbow. Ruby brings her down from the top rope to get a two-count. Ruby exposes a turnbuckle. The referee tries to deal with it but Ruby picks up a spray paint can and hands it to Shida. The referee see Shida having the can. Ruby goes and picks up the Women’s title belt. Shida sprays paint but Ruby uses the title to block it. Ruby tries to push Shida into the exposed turnbuckle but Shida blocks it.

Ruby hits No Future kick, but Shida hits back with a Katana kick. Shida is unable to go for the pin immediately and Ruby is able to kick out by the time she get the cober. Shida hits a DDT, a knee strike and a falcon arrow. She goes for a pin but Ruby reverses it. Shida reverses it again and Ruby’s head gets slammed into the exposed turnbuckle. Shida hits another katana kick to get the pinfall.

Winner – Hikaru Shida

“Timeless” Toni Storm comes out and dances around on the stage.


MJF is interviewed by Renee Paquette, but he gets interrupted by Samoa Joe. Joe says MJF is suffering from lack of friendship and offers to his friend. MJF agrees, but Joe says it comes with a condition that he gets a rematch for World title. Joe gives MJF some time to think about it.

Orange Cassidy & Kazuchika Okada vs Bryan Danielson & Claudio Castagnoli

Cassidy asks to start the match. Bryan cuts off his shenanigans with a trip and goes on to control the wrist. He hits a stomp on the arm and a kick to the back. Bryan kicks at his knee to trip him again. Claudio tags in and hits a body slam. Claudio hits another body slam before hitting some kicks to mock him. Okada tags in and pushes Claudio to the ropes. He goes after Bryan but Bryan gets to the the floor. Claudio trades uppercuts with Okada before Okada hits a body slam. Cassidy hits an elbow drop before whipping Claudio to the corner. Claudio drops him on the ropes before Bryan hits a knee drop on the ropes. We cut to a break.

Cassidy is fighting back against Claudio after the break. He hits a back body drop to send Claudio to the floor. Cassidy drags towards his corner but Claudio blocks him. Cassidy stops a gutwrench suplex and hits a DDT. Okada and Bryan get the tags. Bryan hits chops. Okada hits forearm shots. Bryan turns to side kicks on the arm before Okada drops him with a back elbow. He hits a flying back elbow and a DDT to get a two-count. A body slam from Okada before a flatliner. Bryan stomps at his arm before some Yes kicks to the same arm. Okada ducks a big kick. Bryan puts on the crossface.

They quickly trade pin attempts before they block each other’s finishers. They drop in the middle as they go for the crossbody at the same time. Claudio and Cassidy get the tags. Claudio catches the crossbody but Okada kicks at Cassidy to drop Claudio. Cassidy hits some quick kicks. Claudio counters tornado DDT and puts on the swing. It gets turned into a counter with a stunner. Bryan breaks the pin. Cassidy hits a dive on the floor on Bryan after he hits a crossbody on Okada. Claudio counters Orange Punch with a giant swing. After a while, he turns it into a sharpshooter. Okada comes in and hits a boot, but Claudio does not break the move.

Claudio goes to deal with Okada then. Bryan gets knocked off the apron. Okada hits Claudio with a body slam and an elbow drop. Okada signals for the rainmaker but Cassidy hugs him. Bryan hits them with a missile dropkick. Okada hits rainmaker on Bryan and Cassidy hits Orange punch. Claudio sends Okada to the floor before hitting an uppercut on Cassidy to get the pinfall.

Winner – Bryan Danielson & Claudio Castagnoli

Bryan is clutching his face. Other BCC members come out to check on him. Hook, Rocky Romero and Best Friends come to stand with Okada and Cassidy. The show goes off the arena.
