As per Fightful Select, Braun Strowman’s release was not a surprise for the talent close to the situation. The report says Strowman’s $1 million per year contract was one of the reasons that led to WWE parting ways with him.
Strowman signed a new four-year deal in 2019, reportedly worth $1.1 million per year. The sources claimed that Strowman knew his worth during that contract negotiation and was very private about the contract talks until it was finalized.
