Andrade Beats Buddy Matthews in Ladder Match, Wins His Mask Back
Andrade El Idolo emerged victorious in a Ladder Match against Buddy Mathews on AEW Collisoin July 29, 2023 episode to reclaim his mask.
The match was set because, during the June 24 episode of AEW Collison, Andrade faced Brody King. However, Buddy Mathews attacked him to cause a disqualification win for Andrade. Julia Hart picked up Andrade’s mask, which remained with House of Black.
The rivalry between the two sides continued until Andrade and Buddy clashed on the July 29 episode of AEW Collison. The match was set up to be a ladder match with Andrade’s mask having in the air. The members of House of Black- Malakai Black and Brody King were banned from ringside, apart from Julia Hart who was said to be a licensed manager.

During the ladder match, Julia Hart introduced a pair of handcuffs which Buddy used to trap Andrade. But, Andrade took the key and handcuffed Buddy later. Julia then tried to stop Andrade from reaching his mask by climbing onto his back. After Buddy broke free by cutting the handcuffs, Andrade pushed him off the ladder.
Meanwhile, Julia was still on Andrade’s back before getting to his opposite side. Andrade them pushed him off the top, causing her to crash onto the table that had been set by Buddy Mathews. Andrade successfully seized the opportunity to get the mask.
The rivalry between Andrade and The House of Black members has been going on since the debut episode of AEW Collision, July 17, where Andrade defeated Matthews in a singles match. That was Andrade’s returned to AEW after a period of 9 months after recovering from an injury.
