Kris Statlander will defend TBW Women’s title against Emi Sakura. Hangman Page is set for a segment. Check below for preview and match card for AEW Dynamite September 6, 2023 episode.

Le Sex Gods vs Aussie Open

Sammy Guevara stood by Chris Jericho when everyone from Jericho Appreciation Society abandoned him. However, Jericho got miffed at him at All In after he lost to Will Ospreay. Jericho then apologized to Guevara last week on Dynamite and proposed for them to chase tag team gold. Aussie Open then started a feud with Jericho after his comments on the commentary table at Rampage last week. Sammy came out to help Jericho thwart their attack.

Now, Sammy and Jericho will return to tag team action and face Aussie Open, who are former IWGP, NJPW Strong and ROH Tag Team Champions. Will they prove their title credentials by beating such a formidable team?

MJF Addresses Samoa Joe

As he was going back after successfully defending ROH Tag Team titles, MJF was provoked by Samoa Joe after being nudged on the ramp. It was a classic throwback moment from the one between them when MJF was an extra during Joe’s NXT days and Joe shoved him away when he was following him. It was enough to trigger MJF who went after Joe in the ring despite Adam Cole trying to stop him. MJF is set to address Joe’s behaviour on Dynamite. But, is MJF unhappy with Cole also for not standing behind him in this brawl? Will this create an uncomfortable situation between them?

AEW World Title Eliminator Tournament

AEW has two weeks of Dynamite, Rampage and Collision episodes to find MJF’s challenger for AEW World title for AEW Grand Slam. The tournament will begin on Dynamite this week and will continue with Rampage and Collision.

Good Friends Darby Allin and Nick Wayne will clash in one of the quarterfinals. Some tension was seen between them after Darby forgave AR Fox despite his role in a brutal attack on Wayne. Will these tensions come to fore in this match?

Roderick Strong will take on Trent Beretta in the other quarterfinal on Dynamite. Strong has vowed to win this eliminator tournament and then beat MJF to win the World title in spite of his former Adam Cole, who failed to do so at All In.

What Else is Announced

Moxley vs AR Fox: Jon Moxley will continue the trend of International Championship being a workhorse title. He will be defending it just 3 days after winning it from Orange Cassidy. AR Fox will be Mox’s first challenger.

Hangman Page Segment: Hangman Adam Page is announced for a segment coming out of his win in Over Budget Charity Battle Royal. What does he have to say?

Kris Statlander vs Emi Sakura: Emi Sakura will get another title shot as she challenges TBS Women’s Champion Kris Statlander. Will Sakura win a title in AEW in her umpteenth attempt?

Fallout from All Out: AEW All Out gave us some shocking moments. Kenny Omega was pinned by Konosuke Takeshita for the second week in a row. CJ Perry arrived to AEW but Miro was not happy seeing his wife. Drift became further between The Outcasts. Orange Cassidy was dethroned as AEW International Champion. How will it all affect AEW going forward?
