Welcome to the live results blog for AEW Dynamite March 29, 2023 episode which will be live from Chaifetz Arena in St. Louis, MO.

A stacked line-up is set for the show. Kenny Omega will defend IWGP US Heavyweight Championship against Jeff Cobb. AEW International Championship will be on the line as Orange Cassidy defends against the Butcher.

Adam Cole will return to in-ring action after 9 months since his Forbidden Door 2022. He will face Jericho Appreciation Society’s Daniel Garcia. Blackpool Combat Club will be in action against the trio against ROH’s Dalton Castle & The Boys.

Jungle Boy Jack Perry will take on Matt Hardy in a singles match while The Outcasts’ Ruby Soho will take on her former tag team partner Willow Nightingale. Expect to hear from AEW World Champion MJF and also from Jamie Hayter and Riho, and Ricky Starks and Juice Robinson.

LIVE UPDATES

Matt Hardy vs Jungle Boy Jack Perry

Ethan Page is Matt Hardy’s corner. They lock up and Perry forces Hardy to a break. Hardy snaps his arms a few times before Perry puts on an arm wringer. More back-and-forth action until Perry hits a dropkick to send Hardy to the floor. Page blocks Perry from hitting a suicide dive. Hardy tells him that he has got it. Hardy catches Perry’s dive and hits him with a side effect on the floor.

Darby Allin is watching this on a TV screen backstage. Page throws Perry into the steel steps and into the crowd. Hardy breaks the countdown and goes to pick Perry. Perry fires back with shots. They trade several punches on the apron. Hardy ducks a swing and hits a side effect on the apron. We cut to a break.

Hardy has kept control throughout the break. He hits a blow to the back as we return. Perry fires back with a clothesline off the ropes. Hardy hits a forearm but Perry hits back with a dropkick. Page gets to the apron to distract Perry. Hardy hits him with a forearm and a superplex to get a close two-count.

Hook comes out and starts to fight Page. Hardy goes to help Page but Hook ducks a punch from Page and it lands on Hardy. Perry hits a suicide dive on Hardy. Hook and Page fight to the back. Perry counters Twist of Fate with a backslide. Perry blocks a side effect and hits a spear to get the pinfall.

Winner – Jack Perry

MJF comes out and says he did not like it when Perry interrupted his re-bar miztvah, but one thing stuck with him. MJF talks Perry referencing their career trajectory after their first match in 2020. MJF says Perry kept working week after week, but fans never thanked him. MJF then adds that Perry has no right to be pissed at anyone but himself. He says this because he felt like that he has met his equal in the ring, a man who he might continue battling for the rest of his career.

MJF says that night he went to Perry and gave him an advice. Perry recalls MJF telling him that nice guys finish last, and he should not care about others. MJF says Perry did exactly opposite but Marko Stunt, Luchasaurus and Christian Cage and not with him. MJF says he has become the best professional wrestler in the world and AEW World Champion while Perry is still working his way. Perry replies that he wished he did not care about doing all the bad, selfish, narcisstic things or being a peice of shit, but that ain’t him. So, he is gonna do things his way and even if he did not, he would not wake up alone and hate himself.

MJF says they may have been friends but he has turned out to be massive disappointment, weak in heart, weak in mind and weak in guts. MJF says Perry’s girlfriend Anna Jay has also told him that he is weak in between the knees also. Perry takes MJF down with a double leg and starts to unload. MJF rakes his eyes and takes the upper hand. Perry fights back and forces MJF to run away.


Kenny Omega is in his locker room with Don Callis. Alex Marvez goes to them. Callis explains that Hangman Page is so powerful that when he breaks free of Callis’ wrist, Callis fell backward. Callis asks why Omega was bothered with Hangman though. He asks Kenny to focus on his match tonight while he goes and sort things out with Hangman.


We see Matt Menard, Angelo Parker & Jake Hager taking The Acclaimed and Billy Gunn for a fun outing. They ask The Acclaimed if they are ready to join JAS now. They reply that they will decide on it next week on Dynamite.

Blackpool Combat Club(Jon Moxley, Claudio Castagnoli & Wheeler Yuta) vs Dalton Castle & The Boys

BCC attack their opponents on the ramp. They keep the upper hand and beat up all three. Claudio took one of The Boys into the ring to start the match. He tossed him around for a while. Yuta is beating up the other one of the Boys on the floor. Claudio hits a sit-out powerbomb to get the pinfall.

Winner – Blackpool Combat Club

We see a recap of all the Elite drama last week and Omega beating Vikingo. We also see the recap of Kenny Omega promo from January to call out Jeff Cobb.

Alex Marvez is with Hangman Adam Page now. Page tells him about The Young Bucks’ injury and says it was definitely Blackpool Combat Club who attacked them. Don Callis comes in and tries to apologise to Page about last week. Blackpool Combat Club attack Page and beat him up. Callis’ handshake is left hanging. He offers it to Jon Moxley who nails him with a forearm instead. BCC trio leave.

Kenny Omega(c) vs Jeff Cobb – IWGP US Championship

Jeff Cobb is making his entrance for the match. Tony Schiavone goes to Kenny and tells him about BCC attacking Page and Callis. Omega is shocked but says he needs to focus on his match. Omega makes his entrance. The commentary tells us that Don Callis is busted open and need medical attention.

They lock up and Cobb pushes Kenny to the ropes. He lets it go and shows off. Cobb no-sells shoulder tackles from Omega. Omega goes for a suplex but Cobb blocks it also. Omega hits a hurricanrana and then knocks him off the apron before hitting a suicide dive. Omega hits a bulldog back in the ring. Cobb counters a body slam with a takedown. Cobb hits a brainbuster next before he starts to hit punches. Cobb whips Omega hard into the corner. Omega rolls to the floor. Cobb fires some big chops on the floor. Cobb drives him into the ringpost and into the barricade to take us to a break.

Omega is trying to fight out a bear hug. He hits some punches and a big boot on Cobb. Omega hits a bulldog from the corner to get a two-count. Cobb hits a suplex next before a corner splash. Cobb catches Omega when he goes for a back elbow. Omega hits a big dropkick. Cobb staggers him once again. Omega hits a knee strike to his face. Omega goes for a v-trigger but Cobb hits a dropkick. Omega comes back with snap dragon suplex.

Omega hits another dragon suplex but Cobb lands on his feet and drops Omega with a clothesline. Both men are down. They get up and start to trade punches. Cobb hits an uppercut in the corner and sets him up on the top turnbuckle. Cobb hits a delayed superplex to get a close two-count. Cobb hits a moonsault press for another close two-count.

Cobb hits a v-trigger on Omega and then goes for One Winged Angel. Omega counters but can not get Cobb up. Omega manages to hit a v-trigger. Omega manages to get Cobb up this time and hits One Winged Angel to get the pinfall.

Winner – Kenny Omega

After the match, Blackpool Combat Club trio surround the ring as Oemga is recovering. Bryan Danielson’s music hits and he makes his return to the show for the first time since Revolution 2023. He goes and picks up Omega. Omega goes to take Yuta off the apron only to turn around and run into Busaika Knee from Bryan. Bryan puts Omega in a crossface. BCC fights off security while Bryan still has Omega in a crossface. Bryan stands and celebrates with BCC to close the segment.


We hear from The Gunns who will be facing FTR to defend AEW Tag Team titles. They say they do not respect FTR, and ask them to imagine what they would do to them when they did not even leave their father.

Orange Cassidy(c) vs The Butcher – AEW International Championship

The Blade attacks Cassidy from behind. The Butcher also joins him. The referee work on sending Blade back while Butcher continues the beatdown. The referee separate them and asks Cassidy when he wants to start. Cassidy recovers and gets to his feet. The bell rings.

Cassidy ducks a charge and avoids a body slam. Cassidy goes for lazy kick which enrages Butcher to hit big shots to Cassidy’s body. Butcher unloads on Cassidy in the corner before he throws him to the floor. Butcher swings Cassidy into the barricade a few times. We cut to a break.

Butcher misses a lariat but hits a blow to the back. He puts on Texas Cloverleaf. Cassidy manages to escape it but he has to rake Butcher’s eyes to break free. They both counter each other before Butcher hits a backbreaker. Cassidy hits stundog millionaire. He counters slam into a DDT. Cassidy hits a diving DDT from the top to get a close two-count.

The Butcher engages the referee and The Blade gets in to hit him with a crowbar. Butcher hits backbreaker on Cassidy but he kicks out. Best Friends come out and attack The Blade. Butcher goes to the floor to deal with Best Friends. Cassidy catches him with Orange Punch when he returns to the ring. Cassidy hits Beach Break to get the pinfall.

Winner – Orange Cassidy

Best Friends get into the ring next and goes to give him Best Friends hug.


Jade Cargill is backstage with Mark Sterling and Leila Gray. She is enraged at Taya Valkyrie using The Jaded on Sterling and Gray. Sterling says he has a legal processor who will hand Valkyrie a court order if she uses the Jaded again.

Ruby Soho vs Willow Nightingale

Ruby rolls to the floor after the bell where Saraya and Toni Storm are. Willow catches her with a corner splash when she returns to the ring. Ruby hits some quick moves. Willow blocks No Future kick and slams Ruby to the mat. Willow hits a side slam and a running splash to get a two-count. She hits a body slam next. She hits 3-4 more body slams before some chops in the corner.

Willow is getting more enraged with every shot and is unloading more and more shots. Ruby plays possum and pulls her into the ropes. Ruby asks the referee to check her eyes which allows Saraya and Storm to hit Willow with knee strikes. Ruby hits a suplex to get a two-count. We cut to a break.

Willow is fighting off Saraya on the apron and sends her into the ringpost. Willow sends Ruby into the corner and hits a splash. She hits a spinebuster for a two-count. Ruby tries to talk to Willow once again but Willow does not get caught this time. She hits a Death Valley Driver for a close two-count. Willow goes to the second rope.

Storm pulls Willow’s leg and it allows Willow into No Future kick. Ruby hits another No Future kick but Willow kicks out of the pin. Ruby goes for Destination Unknown but Willow blocks it. Saraya distracts the referee and Storm engages Willow. Ruby rolls up Willow and gets her feet on the ropes. Storm pressures Ruby’s legs to allow him to get the pinfall.

Winner – Ruby Soho

After the match, Storm and Saraya attack Willow from behind. They bring out a steel chair but Riho and Skye Blue run out. The Outcasts throw Blue to the floor and take Riho under control. Jamie Hayter runs out and drops Storm with Hayt-breaker. Saraya ducks a Haytred and runs away. Hayter chases The Outcasts down to backstage.

We see a promo from Powerhouse Hobbs where he talks about his wins over Lucha Bros and Christopher Daniels recently.

Adam Cole vs Daniel Garcia

The crowd is behind Cole as the bell rings. They lock up and Cole gets on an arm wringer. Garcia counters it before Cole counters it back. Garcia takes down Cole with a waistlock takedown. Garcia puts on a side headlock. Cole hits a shoulder tackle. He avoids a dropkick from Garcia and gets him down with a side headlock takedown. Garcia hits him with piledriver. Cole rolls to the floor to take us to a break.

Cole starts to fight back after the break. Garcia blocks a neckbreaker but Cole drops him on his knees in the second attempt. Garcia comes back with a German suplex. Garcia signals for a superkick but runs into a superkick from Cole. Garcia ducks a running knee and hits gets Cole into hammer and elbow shot. Cole counters with a pin attempt. He goes for Panama Sunrise but Garcia rolls away to avoid it.

Garcia goes for a crossface. Cole gets to the ropes quickly. The referee checks on Cole and only resumes the match after a minute or so. Garcia hits a piledriver but Cole is able to kick out. Cole hits a superkick and Panama Sunrise. Cole lowers his knee pad and hits Boom to get the pinfall.

Winner – Adam Cole

After the match, Brit Baker gets into the ring and hugs Cole. They kiss and some confetti explodes. Cole poses in the corner. Chris Jericho comes out to check on Daniel Garcia. He takes Garcia up the ramp. Cole and Baker celebrate in the ring to close the show.
