Welcome to the live results blog for AEW Dynamite June 14, 2023 episode which will feature 2 title matches and a title eliminator on the road to Forbidden Door 2023 PPV.

MJF and Adam Cole will clash in AEW World Championship Eliminator match in the likely main event. TNT Champion Wardlow’s open challenge is answered by Jericho Appreciation Society’s Jake Hager. AEW Women’s Championship match will see Toni Storm taking on Skye Blue.

The Mogul Embassy will be in action for the first time together on Dynamite. Swerve will lead Brian Cage, Toa Liona and Kaun against Sting, Daby Allin, Orange Cassidy and Keith Lee. Blackpool Combat Club’s Jon Moxley, Claudio Castagnoli and Wheeler Yuta will take on Hangman Adam Page and The Young Bucks.

LIVE UPDATES

MJF vs Adam Cole – AEW World Championship Eliminator

The atmosphere is electric as the match is about to start. They get into each other’s faces before locking up. MJF starts with a headlock and a shoulder tackle and mimics Cole’s signature pose. MJF ducks Cole and mocks him some more. Cole goes for a superkick and MJF ducks and rolls to the floor. He gets into the crowd in frustration and even flicks at one of the fans in the stands. The crowd chants “a##hole” as he returns to the ring. MJF pushes Cole into the corner and rakes his eyes. Some stomps are followed by an armdrag into the turnbuckle.

Cole gets a chance to recover as MJF poses. Cole drags MJF into the turnbuckle before getting onto the second rope to hit punches. MJF lands face first onto the apron as Cole hits a back body drop near the ropes. MJF traps Cole in the apron cloth and unloads with shots. MJF slams his arm into the steel steps. MJF pulls his hair as they get into the ring. He continues to work on the arm. Cole hits back elbows before MJF once again drives his arm into the mat. MJF hits a pumphandle slam to get a close two-count.

Cole hits a superkick after more posing from MJF allows him to recover. MJF is down in the corner. Cole hits some boots and a clothesline to drop him. He hits an enzuigiri and a backstabber to get a two-count. MJF blocks Panama Sunrise, puts Cole on the apron and drops his arm onto the ropes. Cole blocks heat sinker, drops him face first onto the mat but MJF ducks the Boom. MJF hits a kick to midsection and Cole counters a suplex into a Ushi Garoshi. MJF tries to jump at him but Cole hits another Ushi Garoshi. Cole has hurt his knee also with that move. MJF hits back with a piledriver for a near fall to take us to a break.

They are trading chops as we return. MJF rakes Cole’s eyes. Cole blocks a clothesline before Cole hits some feint kicks and some superkicks. MJF hits a clothesline to drop him. Both men are down. MJF drags to cover Cole only for Cole to put him into crossface. MJF counters it with a pin attempt and then goes into fujiwara armbar. Cole counters to put on another submission move. MJF counters with a crossface with Cole’s right arm tucked in. Cole drags towards the ropes. MJF traps his left arm also but Cole gets his leg to the ropes.

Cole blocks heat sinker but MJF hits a knee strike and hits heat sinker in the second attempt. Cole kicks out of the pin. 20 minutes are gone from the 30 minutes time limit. MJF clears the timekeeper’s table and sets up Cole on it. MJF gets to the top rope and hits an elbow drop to put Cole through the table. Both men are down for a long time. MJF gets up first and gets into the ring. The referee starts a countdown on Cole. Cole does not get up until 7, but manages to beat the count at 9. The referee checks on Cole and asks him if he wants to continue. Cole gets to the apron. MJF follows him. Cole hits a superkick and a straight jacket German suplex on the apron.

Cole takes his time for a breather. He gets to the second rope for Panama Sunrise but MJF gets away to the other corner to avoid it. MJF hits at his arm and them hits a stomp from the second rope. MJF starts to argue with the referee. Cole rolls up MJF, MJF kicks him away which takes the referee down. MJF goes out and brings in AEW World title to throw it to Cole as he looks for a disqualification. The referee takes his time to get up and Cole runs over MJF with the title. Cole hits The Boom but a slow count from a recovering referee allow MJF to kick out at the last moment.

Cole goes for the Boom again but MJF drops down. Cole picks him up. MJF obscures the referee’s vision and hits a low blow kick on Cole. The referee checks on Cole. MJF brings out his Dynamite Diamond ring. The referee catches him in the act and stops the shot. Cole nails MJF with a superkick and hits Panama Sunrise and The Boom. Cole covers MJF and the referee starts to count for the pinfall. He reaches two-count when the bell rings for 30 minute time limit.

Result – Time Limit Draw

Cole is surprised but he gets to the floor and takes the mic. Cole tells MJF to continue for 5 more minutes. MJF just takes his title and leaves.

Sammy has a Decision to Make!

Sammy Guevara makes his entrance as Renee Paquette stands in the ring. Sammy says he has some decisions to make. Before he could speak much, Darby Allin comes out. Darby says the fans have started to love Sammy once again. He asks Sammy if want to continue to be under Chris Jericho’s shadow. Allin agrues that he does not work in a stable named Sting Appreciation Society, and he and Sting consider each other equals. Jericho’s music hits and he comes out. He tells Darby to mind his own business and shut his mouth. Jericho says he has something to ask Sammy.

Jericho says Sammy did not call him for the last 3 month when he was chasing MJF for the title, and did not help him. Jericho claims that Sammy would have been standing here as the World Champion if he had asked him. Sammy retorts by saying Jericho might not have lost to Cole if he would have called Sammy. Jericho asks Sammy to apologize to him. He also proposes a tag team match with them teaming together or should just beat the hell out of Darby. Darby says he is not alone. This is a cue for Sting to make his entrance. Sting and Jericho face off in the middle of the ring before Jericho leaves.

The Mogul Embassy(Swerve Strickland, Brian Cage, Toa Liona & Kaun) vs Sting, Darby Allin, Orange Cassidy & Keith Lee

After the entrances, Cassidy and Darby hit suicide dives. Cassidy is caught by Cage and tackled on the floor while Darby brings Swerve into the ring. Sting and Darby hit Stinger splashes on Swerve in the corner. Sting is pulled out of the ring by other opponents. Darby hits another corner splash before hitting Code Red to take us to a break.

Darby reverse JML driver with a sunset flip but Swerve blocks a tag. Darby hits a stunner and tags in Lee. Lee runs over every opponent with tackles. Cage hits him with a monkey flip but Lee lands on his feet and hits a clothesline to run over Gates of Agony and Cage. Lee drops Swerve before The Embassy takes control over Lee and hit him with a triple powerbomb. Cassidy and Darby break the pinn. The match falls into a chaos as everyone starts to hit one big move. It ends with Sting getting Cage in position, and Cassidy hits an Orange Punch. Sting hits Stinger Death Drop on Cage to get the pinfall.

Winners – Sting, Daby Allin, Orange Cassidy & Keith Lee

The Gunns are backstage and say they do have anything to do with The Bullet Club Gold. They claim to be the best brothers tag team in the company and have eyes on teams with brothers in The Hardys.

Wardlow(c) vs Jake Hager – AEW TNT Championship

Hager attacks Wardlow on the stage during his entrance. Hager keeps beating him up and takes him to the ring. Wardlow counters with tackles and clotheslines. He hits a back body drop and he lands face first onto the steel steps. Wardlow hits running shoulder tackle on the floor to take us to a break.

Hager has an ankle lock on. Wardlow kicks him away to break free. Wardlow hits a spinebuster. Wardlow gets ready for powerbomb when Matt Menard and Angelo Parker run out. Arn Anderon and Brock Anderon take care to them. But, Hager hits Wardlow with a chop block. Hager hits an overhead throw into a slam. Wardlow comes back with a big boot on a Hager bomb. Wardlow brings Hager back into the ring and hits a Swanton Bomb. He follows up with a spinebuster and a powerbomb to get the pinfall.

Winner – Wardlow

Christian Cage and Luchasaurus appear on the big screen. Christian says Luchasaurus has accepted Wardlow’s open challenge thrown out last week. He then asks Wardlow how will he fare without his new daddy. We see Arn Anderson in a bloodied state being held by Luchasaurus.


We see a video from Hiroshi Tanahashi where he challenges MJF for AEW World title at Forbidden Door. Renee goes to MJF backstage and tells him that his match agianst Tanahashi will be made official by Tony Khan. MJF says no to that match and says this will not be the first time Tony books him in a match he does not want.

Orange Cassidy is backstage for an interview when Zack Sabre Jr. comes in to challenge him. Daniel Garcia also comes in and asks Cassidy where is his buddy Shibata. Cassidy says Shibata is not here but challenges them to a tag team match at Collision.

Toni Storm(c) vs Skye Blue – AEW Women’s Championship

Saraya is not in Washington and has sent a cutout of herself for the show. Blue’s mom is in the front row. Blue starts with quick shots by cornering Storm. She keeps up with the quick attack before kicking off Ruby and Saraya’s knockout off the apron. Storm tries to counter but Blue maintains the momentum. She hits a hip attack to knock Storm off the apron after avoiding the same from Storm. Storm and Saraya argue with Blue’s mom. They spray some paint on her face. Blue hits them with a suicide dive to take us to break.

Blue hits quick shots as we return from the break. Tijeras, a jumping knee strike, a snapmare and a kick to the faces from Blue in quick succession. Storm throws her into the ropes and then to the floor. Ruby distracts the referee but it is Blue who takes the advantage by spraying the paint on Storm’s face. Blue hits Code Blue but the referee is distracted by Ruby once again. Toni counters and hits Storm Zero but Blue kicks out. Storm puts on a sharpshooter to get a submission.

Winner – Toni Storm

Ruby beats up Blue after the match. Willow Nightingale runs out and forces them to run away.


JungleHook are backstage. Jungle Boy says the summer of JungleHook is in full flow but he feels naked without a title while Hook has his FTW Title. He accepts the challenge from Sanada for IWGP World title. Jungle Boy says Hook is his best friend and he wants Hook having his back. Hook gives him a fist bump in agreement.

Blackpool Combat Club vs The Elite

Both teams face-off in the ring and start to brawl. The Elite hit stereo superkicks to send BCC trio to the floor. Matt hits a powerbomb on Yuta on the apron. Nick and Page hit moonsaults on Moxley and Claudio on the floor. Page hits a shooting star press on Yuta as Matt holds him on the apron. Matt hits a spear on Moxley in the ring after Moxley hits him with some kicks in the corner. Nick tags in and hits a crossbody on Moxley. He hits a leg drop on Moxley despite a distraction from Claudio.

Nick hits a crossbody on Claudio on the floor but Claudio catches him and slams him on the apron. Hangman hits a dive on Claudio. Moxley hits a dive on Hangman. Matt hits a crossbody on Moxley. Matt sends Nick into the ring and asks for a tag in. Yuta pulls Matt off the apron. Moxley hits a piledriver on Nick for a near fall to take us to a break.

Moxley hits a body slam on Nick as we return. He misses an elbow drop after Nick rolls to the floor. Nick hits a dropkick on Moxley and tags out. Page and Yuta get the tags. Page hits a lariat on Claudio on the apron before hitting a fallaway slam on Yuta. He hits dives on both men on the floor. Yuta is brought back quickly to be hit with a lariat off the top rope for a near fall. Page hits a buckle bomb with The Young Bucks adding double enzuigiri to it.

Matt tags in and hits locomotion Northern Lights Suplex. Moxley is also hit with the Northern Lights when he comes in. The match breaks down with big moves fom everyone. Yuta hits a bridging German suplex on Nick for a two-count. Moxley sends Page into the steel steps before getting into the ring to hit Doomsday Device on Matt. Moxley puts Matt in a choke. Claudio blocks Page from the break up but Nick hits a swanton bomb to break it up.

Claudio tags in and The Elite start a superkick party. Yuta tags in and is hit with more superkicks. The Young Bucks hit BTE Trigger followed by a buckshot lariat from Page for the pinfall.

Winners – The Elite

Claudio pulls Matt out of the ring and sends him into the steel steps after the match. Claudio and Page attack Page and Nick. Claudio beats up Page while Moxley sends Nick into the barricade outside. Eddie Kingston runs out and tackles Claudio. Moxley gets into the ring but does not attack his friend Eddie. Matt attacks Page from behind. Eddie stops Matt. Nick also gets in the ring. Moxley and Eddie argue.

Konosuke Takeshita runs out and drops Eddie before hitting The Young Bucks. Kenny Omega runs out and brawls with Takeshita. Takeshita rakes Omega’s eyes before Omega hits a V-Trigger. Page and The Young Bucks hit superkicks and dives on BCC. Omega hits another V-Trigger on Takeshita but turns to a knee strike from Will Ospreay. Ospreay hits Omega with hidden blade and then follows up with a Stormbreaker. He poses for the crowd before hitting another hidden blade to close the show.
