AEW Dynamite Aug 30: International Title Bout Set, Winner Face Moxley at All Out

Orange Cassidy will defend his AEW International Championship against Penta El Zero Miedo on August 30, 2023, episode of AEW Dynamite.

During the All In 2023 post-show media scrum, Tony Khan announced that Cassidy will defend his title in the next episode of AEW Dynamite. Tony Khan also mentioned that the winner of the match will defend the AEW International title against John Moxley at AEW All Out 2023 PPV event.

Cassidy and El Zero Miedo recently worked as partners at the AEW All In 2023 PPV event, where they defeated Blackpool Combat Club (Jon Moxley, Claudio Castagnoli, and Wheeler Yuta), Santana, and Ortiz with The Best Friends (Chuck Taylor & Trent Beretta) and Eddie Kingston.

Cassidy, Moxley, and El Zero Miedo’s rivalry has also been going on for the past few months. The rivalry started on the July 26 episode of AEW Dynamite Lucha Bros (Rey Fenix and Penta El Zero Meido) defeating Best Friends (Chuck Taylor and Trent Baretta) and BCC (Claudio Castagnoli and Jon Moxley) in a 3-way tag team.

In August 4 episode of AEW Rampage, Blackpool Combat Club (Jon Moxley and Claudio Castagnoli) defeated Best Friends (Chuck Taylor and Trent Baretta) in a Parking Lot fight. Cassidy was also seen helping Taylor and Baretta, but he was brutally beaten up by BCC.

Again on the August 9 episode of AEW Dynamite, Blackpool Combat Club defeated the Lucha Brothers (Penta El Zero Meido and Rey Fenix Jr.) in a tag team match. Orange Cassidy successfully defended his title against Wheeler Yuta on August 16 Dynamite episode before Stadium Stampede match was set up.

August 30, 2023, episode of AEW Dynamite will be broadcast live from NOW Arena, Chicago, IL, US. Only one match is announced for the show so far.
