AEW Dynamite August 16: Texas Chainsaw Massacre Death Match & More Set
AEW officially announced two matches for August 16, 2023, episode of AEW Dynamite, including the Texas Chainsaw Massacre Death Match between Jeff Jarrett and Jeff Hardy.
During the August 11 episode of AEW Rampage, Jeff Jarrett revealed his plans to engage in a Texas Chainsaw Massacre Death Match against Jeff Hardy. The match is sponsored by Texas Chain Saw Massacre video game.
Although Jeff Jarrett mentioned the Texas Chainsaw Massacre Death Match Championship, it is not yet confirmed if any title will be on the line. In the end, Jarrett also hinted that Leatherface should make an appearance during the match. This is going to be the first-ever Texas Chainsaw Massacre Death Match.

Orange Cassidy is also scheduled for an August 16 episode of AEW Dynamite, where he will defend his AEW International Championship against Wheeler Yuta.
During the August 11 episode of AEW Rampage, Cassidy successfully defended his International Championship against Johnny TV. After the match, Blackpool Combat Club surrounded Cassidy but decided against attacking him. Yuta then challenged Cassidy for the International Championship match, which was later confirmed by AEW for August 16 episode of AEW Dynamite.
The August 16 episode of AEW Dynamite will be the special episode where AEW’s Fight for the Fallen event is coming back. The show will be live from Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, TN, US. Below is the announced line-up for the show:
