Welcome to the live results blog for AEW Rampage August 11, 2023, which was pre-taped with Dynamite on Wednesday(spoilers are available here).

Orange Cassidy was set to defend AEW International Championship against Johnny TV. ROH Tag Team Champion Aussie Open was in action in a tag team match. Darby Allin faced Brian Cage in a singles match. Saraya took on Skye Blue as they attempt to get a shot at AEW Women’s Championship.

  • Darby Allin defeated Brian Cage in a singles match via pinfall.
  • Orange Cassidy(c) defeated Johnny TV in a singles match via pinfall to retain AEW International Championship.
  • Aussie Open(Kyle Fletcher & Mark Davis) defeated The Outrunners(Truth Magnum & Turbo Floyd) in a tag team match via pinfall.
  • Saraya defeated Skye Blue in Qualifier fro AEW Women’s Championship Match via pinfall.

LIVE UPDATES

Darby Allin vs Brian Cage

Darby hits a dropkick out of the gage. Cage moves to the floor and no-sells a suicide dive. Cage throws him into the barricade. Cage hits a suplex to drop him on the apron. He hits a superplex before booting Darby in the corner. Cage throws him across the ring and into the turnbuckle. Cage puts on a vice grip on Darby’s shoulder. Darby tries to break free, but is thrown to the floor. Darby avoids a running tackle against the steel steps. Darby jumps on Cage’s back and tries to hit shots. Cage runs and jumps into the table to put Darby through it. Cage keeps control and takes us to a break.

Darby hits big boot from the corner. Darby hits a Scorpion death drop next. He hits a stunner next. Cage hits back with powerbomb to get a two-count. Darby uses his belt to sweep Cage off the ropes. Darby hits a coffin drop on the apron. Both men are down on the floor. Darby gets into the ring first as the referee countdowns. Cage also comes in and Darby hits a Code Red for a near fall. Cage trips Darby on the top rope. Cage hits an F5 but Darby kicks out of the pinfall. Cage puts Darby on the top rope and hits a chop before getting him in a firemen’s carry. Darby turns it into a crucifix bomb for a two-count. Cage goes for F5 once again but Darby turns it into victory roll to get the pinfall.

Winner – Darby Allin

Luchasaurus attacks Darby right after the bell. Luchasaurus slams Darby into the mat.

Britt Baker is interviewed backstage. Baker says she considers Bunny as he friend and has seen Bunny working every week to trying to get back into the ring. But, she is here to get to All In where more than 80,000 will cheer for her.

Orange Cassidy(c) vs Johnny TV – AEW International Championship

Johnny starts with attempting some leg sweeps but Cassidy avoids them. He hits a runing shoulder tackle and more quick moves to force Johnny to the floor. Harley Cameron distracts the referee while the other members of QTV try to gang up on Cassidy. Cassidy turns the referee’s attention towards them, and the referee boots them. Wheeler Yuta is out from the crowd to distract Cassidy, allowing Johnny to run him over from behind. He drops Cassidy to the floor as we cut to a break.

Johnny is still in control as we return. Cassidy avoids him in the corner and slams his face into the turbuckle. Johnny trips him to drop him into the ringpost. He sends Cassidy into the ring post. Cassidy hits a crossbody off the top rope. Johnny comes back with a neckbreaker to get a two-count. Johnny misses a split-legged moosault. Cassidy hits a diving DDT. He hits another DDT and nails Orange Punch and Beach Break to get the pinfall.

Winner – Orange Cassidy

Yuta gets up from the commentary table. Cassidy tells him to come to the ring quickly. Claudio Castagnoli and Jon Moxley come from the crowd to surround the ring. But, they decide against the attack. Yuta says this is beneath BCC and they will accomplish nothing by it. He challenges Cassidy for a match for International title.


We get a video package for ROH Tag Team Champions Aussie Open.

Aussie Open(Kyle Fletcher & Mark Davis) vs The Outrunners(Truth Magnum & Turbo Floyd)

Davis starts against Floyd. Magnum is decked off the arpon. Aussie Open double team on Floyd before taking down Magnum when he comes into the ring. Aussie Open pick up The Outrunners and slam them into each other. Davis hits a big chop. More double team from Aussie Open finishes off The Floyd.

Winner – Aussie Open

Aussie Open cut a promo against MJF and Adam Cole after the match. They say people are rooting for them waiting for MJF’s eventual turn. They accept the challenge for All In.

Saraya vs Skye Blue – Qualifier fro AEW Women’s Championship Match

Skye puts Saraya into the corner for a chop. Quick back and forth with sunset flip and counters to get two counts several times. Saraya whips Skye to the corner who hits a back elbow and a crossbody to get a two-count. Saraya rolls to the floor. Skye hits kicks on Toni and Ruby from the apron. She goes for a senton on Saraya but Toni pulls Saraya away. Skye crashes on the floor. We cut to a break.

Saraya puts on a chinlock. She uses her hair to whip her down to the mat. Skye fights back for some back and forth action. Saraya hits a thrust kick to get a two-count. Saraya puts on a a Boston Crab but Skye gets to the ropes. Skye hits a superkick and Code Blue but Toni has distracted the referee already. Ruby sprays the green paint on Skye from the other side. Saraya hits a DDT to get the pinfall.

Winner – Saraya

The Outcasts beat up Skye to close the show.
