A huge middleweight bout in the form of Robert Whittaker vs Marvin Vettori has been made official for UFC Paris that will take place on September 3.
The promotion confirmed this news via a tweet that was shared by the official Twitter handle of UFC Europe. It is the first bout that has been officially announced for UFC Paris and it is quite a big one.
Vettori and Whittaker were set to collide against each other at UFC 275 on June 11, but now they will lock horns a month later in September.
Robert Whittaker’s three-fight winning streak was snapped earlier this year by the UFC Middleweight champions Israel Adesanya at UFC 271. Before that, he defeated Kevin Gastelum, Jared Cannonier, and Darren Till.
On the other hand, Marvin Vettori’s five-fight winning streak was also crushed by Israel Adesanya at UFC 263. Vettori rebounded from this loss by defeating Paulo Costa last year in October.
Now, both of these fighters will try their best to get a win in the very first UFC Fight Night event in Paris on September 3.
