Initially, Glover Teixeira was announced to defend the Light Heavyweight title against Jiri Prochazka for UFC 274. On February 26, 2022, Teixeira said in an interview with Combate that his first title defense against Prochazka is moved from UFC 274 to UFC 275.
On March 1, 2022, multiple reports came out saying that Valentina Shevchenko will defend her women’s flyweight title against Talia Santos.[source]

On March 10, 2022, MMA Reporter Ariel Helwani reported Robert Whittaker vs Marvin Vettori to take place at this event.[details]. On April 20, Whittaker revealed that he has suffered an injury in the training camp and will not be able to fight in June.
On March 16, 2022, MMAFighting reported that Brenden Allen and Jacob Malkoun have verbally agreed for a fight at UFC 275.
On March 29, 2022, UFC announced the bout between South Korean Veteran Kang Kyung Ho will face Saimon Oliviera. Oliviera was replaced with Danaa Betgeral at the event as per the announcement from UFC Korea.

In November 2021, Orion Cosce vs Mike Mathetha(Blood Diamond) bout was reported to be in work for UFC 271. Cosce withdrew from the fight due to COVID-19. Matheta went on to face Jeremiah Wells at UFC 272 and lost via submission in first round. On April 16, 2022, Iridium Sports Agency announced that Cosce and Matheta are now scheduled to clash at UFC 275.

On May 4, 2022, UFC officially announced Manel Kape vs. Rogerio Bontorin flyweight bout to take place at this event. On June 9, 2022, it was reported that Bontorin was hospitalized and this bout was cancelled.
