Cain Velasquez Arrested for Attempted Murder After Shooting Incident

Former UFC Champion and WWE Superstar Cain Velasquez have been arrested for attempted murder after being involved in an alleged shooting incident in Moran Hill, California. 

NBC Bay Area reported about the shooting incident initially, then later TMZ Sports confirmed that the San Jose Police Department has arrested Cain Velasquez. 

SJPD hasn’t provided any additional details on the shooting incident and the arrest of Velasquez. Their media relations office stated that they are investigating the motive and circumstances regarding the incident.

According to Online Records, Cain Velasquez was at the Santa Clara County main jail. He didn’t get the bail, and now he will appear at the court on Wednesday. Police revealed that the man didn’t suffer any life-threatening injuries and was shot once. 

Cain Velasquez last competed inside the octagon back in 2019 where he lost against the current Heavyweight champion Francis Ngannou in just 26 seconds. After that, he made several appearances in WWE before getting released by the company.
