EVENT NOTES

On January 19, 2024, 3 fights were reported to take place at an UFC event on April 27, 2024 – Anshul Jubli vs Maheshate Hayisaer, James Llontop vs Lando Vannata and Ariane Lipski vs Karine Silva. This was the first mention of this event taking place. Later, it was reported that UFC would be holding a Fight Night event on this date at UFC Apex Center in Las Vegas, NV. Since it will be the 91st Fight Night event at the venue, it is also known as UFC Vegas 91.

Manel Kape and Matheus Nicolauwere were previously set to clash at UFC Vegas 84, but the bout was canceled after Kape came in 3 and a half pounds over the flyweight limit. On March 8, 2024, UFC Japan Twitter account announced Manel Kape vs Matheus Nicolau bout for the event. Alex Behunin of MMA Mania reported it would be the main event fight. Later in the month, Kape pulled out of the bout due to a ribs injury. Alex Perez came in to replace Kape in the main event.

Anshul Jubli and Maheshate Hayisaer were reported to fight in a lightweight bout. On February 9, it was reported that Jubli had pulled out of the bout. Iridium Sports Agency revealed on February 14 that Gabriel Benítez would fight Maheshate.

James Llontop vs Lando Vannata lightweight bout was reported but Iridium Sports Agency announced on February 14 that Llontop would face Gabe Green. Green also pulled out of the bout later and Chris Paddila came in as a replacement. At the weigh-in, Llontop came in at 156.5 lbs, which was 0.5 lbs higher than the lightweight limit. He was fined 20% of his purse and the bout was turned into a catchweight bout.

Jonathan Pearce and David Onama were booked for a featherweight bout at the event. At the weigh-in, Oname came in at 148.5 lbs, which is 2.5 higher than featherweight limit. The bout was therefore turned into a catchweight bout after Onama was fined 20% of his purse.
