Volkanovski was coming into the bout on the back of his short notice loss against Islam Makhachev for lightweight title. Was he able to continue his unbeaten streak in featherweight division though? Or was Topuria on form to dethrone him?
Paulo Costa took part in a fight after 18 months as he faced Robert Whittaker in the co-main event of UFC 298. Ian Garry returned to action to take on Geoff Neal in an important welterweight bout. Merab Dvalishvili had a big name opponent in Henry Cejudo.
