Rodolfo Vieira Pulls Out of UFC Vegas 65, Cody Brundage Fight Off
Rodolfo Vieira vs Cody Brundage fight at UFC Vegas 65 this week is canceled now.
Eurosport’s Marcel Dorff is reporting that Rodolfo Vieira has pulled out of the middleweight bout due to an undisclosed reason. The fight was scheduled for the main card of UFC Fight Night 215 Lewis vs Spivac on November 19, 2022.
Cody Brundage will not remain on the fight card as UFC is not able to get a short-term replacement. Vieira was -180 favorite to win the fight before the fight cancelation and Brundage was a +155 underdog.
This would have been the sixth UFC fight for former Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Champion Viera after his debut in August 2019. He is coming off a loss to Chris Curtis at a Fight Night event in June this year.
Former Dana White Contender Series and LFA fighter, Brundage has been in the UFC octagon three times. He lost at his UFC debut at UFC 266, but has two wins this year against Dalcha Lungiambula and Tresean Gore.
UFC Vegas 65 still has 12 fights scheduled on the card after this cancellation. Former Heavyweight title challenger Derrick Lewis will take on surging contender Sergei Spivac in the headliner bout.
