Former UFC Champion Jon Jones Looking for New Gym & Training Partners

A recent series of Tweets shared by three-time UFC Lightweight Champion, Jon Jones revealed that he has parted ways with Jackson Wink and now he is looking for a new gym and team.

Jon Jones and Jackson Win parted ways after Jones’s arrest in Las Vegas for domestic violence charges.

A fan told Jon Jones that he carried the gym for the last ten year. In response, Jones said, he doesn’t think he carried the gym as a lot of guys are doing amazing things out of that gym. Although, he also agreed that the gym is not on the same level that it used to be.

Jon Jones was grateful for his time at Jackson Wink. He stated that he will continue to root for the fighters there. However, he certainly won’t go back there. 

definitely won’t be going back but I will continue to root for all the fighters that are training there. I do believe my training methods and sessions have improved significantly since changing environments. Grateful for all the time I got to spend there, everything has its time

Jones also mentioned that it is not possible for him to train in his garage forever and hence he needs more training partners. He is looking for a team that helps him train.

I know I won’t be able to train in my garage forever, eventually I’m going to need more training partners. Mainly wrestling partners and kickboxers. I’m on the lookout for teams that I’ll be able to visit and come train with, maybe get some sparring sessions in.

Jon Jones’s last appearance inside the octagon was at UFC 247 where he successfully defended his title against Dominick Reyes. After the match, he vacated the Lightweight championship so that he could move to the heavyweight division.
