Jessica Andrade vs Yan Xiaonan Set for UFC 288 in May
The match card of UFC 288 gets even more stacked with the addition of a new women’s strawweight match.
According to the latest reports, former UFC champion Jessica Andrade will collide against Yan Xiaonan at the UFC 288 PPV event on May 6, 2023.
Marcel Dorff of EuroSports reported this matchup on Twitter which was later confirmed by multiple other sources as well.
Jessica Andrade’s three-fight winning streak was recently snapped by Erin Blanchfield in her most recent bout in February 2023. Before that, she defeated Lauren Murphy, Amanda Lemos, and Cynthia Calvillo.
On the other hand, Yan Xiaonan recently rebounded from her previous two losses by defeating Mackenzie Dern via a majority decision in October 2022. Before that, she lost against Marina Rodriguez and Carla Esparza.
Now, it remains to be seen whether Jessica Andrade will return to the winning path on May 6 or Xiaonan registers her second consecutive win. UFC 288 PPV event is set to be headlined by Henry Cejudo vs Aljamain Sterling bantamweight championship match.
