Ismail Bonfim vs Vinc Pichel Rebooked for UFC 301 PPV
Ismail Bonfim(19-4) vs Vinc Pichel(14-3) lightweight bout is rebooked for UFC 301 PPV in Brazil.
Bonfim and Pichel were set to clash at UFC Sao Paulo Fight Night in November, but Bonfim missed weight at the weigh-in by 3.5 lbs and the bout was canceled.
MMA Journalist Marcel Dorff is now reporting that the bout is rebooked once again in Brazil at UFC 301 PPV. The event is set to take place in Rio De Janeiro, Brazil, on May 4, 2024.
Ismail Bonfim has two UFC bouts so far. He won his UFC debut against Terrance McKinney at UFC 283 via second-round knockout, but he lost to Benoit Saint-Denis at UFC Vegas 76.
Vinc Pichel has not fought since April 2022 as two of his bouts were canceled since due to some injuries. His last bout saw him lose to Mark Madsen at UFC 273 via unanimous decision.
Prior to that, Pichel was on a 3-fight winning streak. His wins came against Roosevelt Roberts, Jim Miller and Austin Hubbard.
UFC 301 PPV will see Alexandre Pantoja defend his UFC Flyweight Championship against Steve Erceg. Other Brazilian talents, such as Jose Aldo, Caio Borralho, Vitor Petrino, and many others, will also be on the card.
