Randy Brown announced that he has signed a new UFC contract earlier this week. He is now in line to face Wellington Turman in a welterweight bout. The report comes from MMA Hoje Podcast on Twitter and Instagram. Brown is coming off a loss to Jack Della Maddalena at UFC 284 while Turman lost to Andre Petroski at UFC 281 in their previous bouts.
Gregory Rodrigues vs Denis Tiuliulin middleweight bout is reported for the event by Laerte Viana of Super Lutas. Rodrigues was last in action at UFC 283 where he lost to Brunno Ferreira. Tiuliulin lost to Jun Yong Park at UFC Vegas 68 on Febraury 4, 2023.
Austin Lane will make his UFC debut at UFC Jacksonville against Justin Tafa in a heavyweight bout. Lane, a former American Football Athlete, got UFC contract via Dana White Contender Series. He was supposed to make his debut at UFC 284 against Junior Tafa but had to withdraw with undisclosed reasons. Justin Tafa defeated Parker Porter at the same event for his second win in a row.
Additionally, MMA Junkie is reporting that veteran middleweight fighter Neil Magny will return to face Phil Rowe on Fight Night event on June 24. Magny lost to Gilbert Burns via first-round submission. Rowe was last in action at Fight Night in December to beat Niko Price.
UFC Jacksonville is headlined by a top featherweight bout between Ilja Topuria and Josh Emmett. The event is set to air from Vystar Veterans Memorial Arena in Jacksonville, FL.
The event has a stacked card which also includes a middleweight bout between Brendan Allen and Bruno Silva, and a flyweight bout between Maycee Barber and Amanda Ribas.
