Brendan Allen was reportedly offered a main-event fight but he refused!!

Brendan Allen had a chat with Brett Okamoto of ESPN where he stated that UFC offered him to headline a UFC Fight Night event against Roman Dolidze in September after his win this past weekend.

Allen also added that he had declined this offer for now as he wants to square off against Dricus Du Plessis next. Meni Mayer then revealed that UFC offered him to headline the September 23 Fight Night event.

Brendan Allen is on a five-fight winning streak and is coming off a first-round submission win against Bruno Silva at UFC on ABC: Emmett vs Topuria on June 24. Allen won four out of these five bouts via submission only.

On the other hand, Roman Dolidze’s four-fight winning streak was recently snapped by Marvin Vettori at UFC 286. Dolidze’s last win came against Jack Hermansson last year in December.

Now, if the fight with Dricus Du Plessis won’t work out then Brendan Allen might actually consider this offer. So, it remains to be seen who he will face next in the octagon.
