Anthony Hernandez will not be competing in his scheduled bout against Roman Kopylov at September 16’s Noche UFC event.

In his Instagram post, Anthony Hernandez stated that he won’t be competing against Kopylov because he sustained an injury to a ligament.

Hernandez was originally set to face Chris Curtis at the event. Curtis pulled out due to ribs fracture and Kopylov was brought in as the replacement just last week. It remains to be seen whether Roman Kopylov will remain on the card with a substitute opponent for his scheduled bout.

Currently, Anthony Hernandez is on a successful run with three consecutive victories. In his most recent bout, he faced Edmen Shahbazyan at UFC Vegas 73 and secured a win through a knockout. Hernandez also emerged victorious against Marc-André Barriault and Josh Fremd in his streak.

Roman Kopylov is currently on a three-fight winning streak. In his most recent match, he competed against Claudio Ribeiro at the UFC 291 event and emerged victorious with a knockout. Kopylov also achieved wins against Punahele Soriano and Alessio Di Chirico, upholding his current winning streak.

Noche UFC event is scheduled for September 16, 2023, at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, NV. Alexa Grasso vs Valentina Shevchenko is set for the main event for the UFC Women’s Flyweight Championship.
