Luis Alberto Lopez Requested for World Title Unification Fight vs Robeisy Ramirez Next

Luis Alberto Lopez

It seems like Luis Alberto wants to add one more belt to his shoulder before facing his mandatory challenger.

It has been noted that Luis Alberto Lopez officially asked for special permission from the IBF in order to try and negotiate with Robeisy Ramirez for the IBF & WBO World Featherweight Title unification bout next instead of facing his mandatory challenger Reiya Abe.

However, if the IBF denies Alberto’s request then he would be forced to defend his IBF Featherweight title against Reiya Abe before stepping into the ring with any other boxer.

Luis Alberto defeated Josh Warrington to win the IBF Title in December 2022. Since then he has successfully defended his belt against Michael Conlan and Joet Gonzalez.

On the other hand, Robeisy Ramirez hasn’t lost any matches since suffering a loss in his professional boxing debut in 2019. He is coming off a fifth-round TKO win against Satoshi Shimizu.

Now it remains to be seen who Luis Alberto Lopez will end up facing next inside the squared circle.
