WWE SmackDown Spoilers from December 23, 2022 Episode Tapings
Due to Christmas Holidays, WWE will pre-tape SmackDown’s December 23, 2022 episode at Allstate Arena in Chicago, IL, with this week’s show itself. The plans for next week’s show include:

- The Usos vs Hit Row – WWE Tag Team Championship match
- SmackDown Women’s Top contender Gauntlet Match involving Xia Li, Tegan Nox, Emma, Raquel Rodriguez, Liv Morgan, Shayna Baszler and Sonya Deville.

- Rey Mysterio vs Angel Garza
- A John Cena video package
- Karrion Kross & Scarlett promo from backstage
- Braun Strowman & Ricochet vs Imperium(Ludwig Kaiser & Giovanni Vinci) – – Miracle on 34th Street Fight

The first match is the #1 Contender Gauntlet match for SmackDown Women’s Championship.
- Xia Li eliminated Emma.
- Xia Li eliminated Tegan Nox
- Raquel Rodriguez eliminated Xia Li.
- Raquel Rodriguez eliminated Liv Morgan.
- Raquel Rodriguez eliminated Sonya Deville via pinfall after a chokeslam.
- Ronda Rousey comes out and informs Raquel that there is one more participant in the match. It is Shayna Baszler.
- Raquel rolls up Shayna to get the pin and become the new #1 contender.
Bray Wyatt comes out for a promo. Bray asks LA Knight to apologize to him as it turned out that he is not Uncle Howdy. He suddenly attack the cameraman who was in the ring. Officials come out to check on the cameraman.
Karrion Kross and Scarlett are in the front row as Rey Mysterio battles Angel Garza. Mysterio defeated Garza with 619 and West Coast Pop. Mysterio then called Kross to get into the ring. Kross just stares at him.
Roman Reigns is out in the ring for a promo. Paul Heyman announces Solo Sikoa vs Sheamus match for SmackDown December 30 episode. Roman says he has made a lot of money beating up John Cena and Kevin Owens. Roman says Sami does not feel like he has been in the past. Sami says all he wants is family and respect, but there is a black cloud over his head in Kevin Owens. It will not matter if John Cena comes with KO, as anyone who stands up to The Bloodline will get smashed.
The Usos defeated Hit-Row to retain Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championship after hitting 1-D on Top Dolla.
Ricochet & Braun Strowman vs The Imperium’s Ludwig Kaiser & Giovanni Vinci is the main event. Ricochet threw the decorated boxer on Wade Barrett on the commentary during the match. After taking down Ricochet, Imperium duo was beating up Strowman on the stage. A ballerina brought out a big box and New Day’s Kofi Kingston & Xavier Woods popped out of it. Samantha Irvin kissed Ricochet under the mistletoe to bring him back to life. Strowman put Kaiser through a table. Ricochet and Strowman double-teamed against Vinci to get the win.
