WWE SmackDown Preview – 13 August 2021

WWE SmackDown Results

This is the preview for WWE SmackDown episode of 13 August 2021.

With WWE heading towards Summerslam 2021, they are already making huge strides in various storylines. Last week, although surprises by any stretch, two new matches were confirmed on SmackDown. While we expected something to move ahead in Roman Reigns-John Cena, Roman turned his attention towards Finn Balor last week.

What to expect on this week’s SmackDown? Check out in this preview for the show.

Show – WWE Friday Night SmackDown
Date – 13 August 2021
Location –  Bok Center, Tulsa, OK, US
Time – 8 PM EST(14 August 2021 12 AM GMT/5:30 AM IST)

Edge & Seth Rollins

Edge vs Seth Rollins was confirmed after Rollins accepted the challenge from the Rated-R superstar. Rollins was unwilling to face Edge but Edge caught his nerve when he called him Edge-lite version. More things are expected to transpire between them continuing on the trends from the last three weeks.

Bianca Belair & Sasha Banks

Bianca Belair also agreed to defend the SmackDown Women’s Title against Sasha Banks. The Boss returned to SmackDown two weeks back when she saved Bianca from an attack from Carmella and Zelina Vega. However, Banks herself turned on Bianca after their main event tag team win.

Last week, Sasha revealed that she is out here to get the spotlight back on her. The spotlight that Bianca is carrying ever since she defeated Sasha at WrestleMania 37. What will be next in the war of words between two aces of the women’s division?

Who will Roman Target Next?

As mentioned above, everyone was expecting Roman to react to John Cena after he signed the Universal Championship contract originally meant for Finn Balor. However, it was Finn Balor who caught Roman’s attention with his comments towards the Tribal Chief. With some aid from The Usos, Roman ended up standing tall over Balor to close the show last week.

With that of the storyline on pause, we can expect more fireworks between Roman and Cena now. What is it that either man is planning?

What Else?

With SummerSlam approaching fast, the storyline between The Usos and The Mysterios is also expected to continue.

Mr. Money in the Bank Big E is uncharacteristically quiet ever since winning the briefcase. Will we hear from him this week?

Tune in to our live coverage for SmackDown on Friday evening.
