WWE SmackDown presented a live episode from London, UK, for the first time on June 30, 2023, and we were here to post results from The O2 Arena.

Expectations were high from the show, which airs just a day before Money in the Bank 2023 event at the same venue. The line-up had Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns appearing on the show as The Bloodline Civil War continued. Logan Paul was set to appear on Grayson Waller Effect just 24 hours before Money in the Bank ladder match.

Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn defended WWE Tag Team Championship against Pretty Deadly in one of the title matches. The other title match saw Asuka defend WWE Women’s Championship against Charlotte Flair.

Bayley put her spot in women’s MITB on the line against Shotzi. Austin Theory faced Ridge Holland while a triple-threat match between men MITB competitors completed the line-up for the show. LIVE UPDATES

Kevin Owens & Sami Zayn(c) vs Pretty Deadly(Kit Wilson & Elton Prince) – WWE Tag Team Championship

Sami starts against Wilson and puts on an arm wringer. Wilson counters by putting on a side headlock. Sami hits an armdrag and works on the arm somemore. Wilson pushes Sami to the ropes for a break. Prince takes a cheap shot at Sami which allows Wilson to nail Sami with quick shots. Prince tags in and pulls Sami out to the floor. He sends Sami face first into the announce table to take us to a break.

As we return, we see Wilson in control against Sami with a chinlock. Sami hits a jawbreaker but Prince tries to block the tag out. Sami hits a back body drop and tags in Owens. Owens starts with quick fire shots on Prince. He knocks off both opponents to the floor and hits running clotheslines. Back to the ring, Owens hits a superkick on Prince followed by a cannonball. He starts to favor his ankle after that but still hits a Swanton bomb. Wilson breaks the pin. Sami comes in and takes Wilson to the floor.

Owens goes for a stunner but Wilson blocks it as Owens is not 100% due to his leg. Wilson pulls Sami off the apron and sends him into the steel steps. They hit a double-team codebreaker for a two-count. Pretty Deadly hits their double-team finisher but Sami breaks the pin. Owens uses a low bridge to send Wilson to the floor and hits a German suplex on Prince. Sami gets the hot tag against Wilson and hits a blue thunderbomb. Wilson holds onto the apron and kicks away Sami into the face.

Wilson and Prince switch places which allows Wilson to roll up Sami from behind for a near fall. Sami pushes Prince off the apron before he hits an exploder to send Wilson into turnbuckle. Owens comes in and hits a stunner on Prince before Sami hits a Helluva Kick on Wilson to get the pinfall.

Winners – Sami Zayn & Kevin Owens

Adam Pearce is backstage with Megan Morant when The Brawling Brutes come in and asks for a match against Solo. Pearce tells Holland that he has a match against Austin Theory tonight and he can get a title match if he wins.

Austin Theory vs Ridge Holland

Holland puts Theory in the corner after the lock up and hits punches and uppercuts. Theory slips to the apron and hits back with a punch. Theory goes for a slingshot shoulder tackle but Holland gets him into a double underhook and swings him around before hitting a double underhook slam. Theory pushes him into the turnbuckle before some quick punches and stomps. He puts on a front headlock. Holland breaks it and hits a shoulder tackle. He hits North Light suplex and more suplexes in succession. Theory slips to the floor and takes a shot at Holland’s throat. Theory rolls in and hits a dropkick to get the pinfall.

Winner – Austin Theory

After the match, Theory hits punches on Holland in a ground-and-pound. Sheamus runs out and Theory sneaks away from the ring.


Karrion Kross cuts a promo for AJ Styles and says it felt phenomenal when he faced Styles last time and it only took him 3 moves to beat him. Kross says it will be checkmate next week.


We see a video package for The Bloodline storyline.

Bayley vs Shotzi

Iyo is in Bayley’s corner. Bayley starts with a kick to midsection before some punches. Shotzi ducks a clothesline and hits a bulldog. She follows up with a running knee, a punch and a roundhouse kick. Shotzi misses a knee in the corner as Bayley slips to the floor. Bayley gets away from suicide dive from Shotzi who catches Iyo with it. Bayley takes Shotzi into the ring and hits Bayley-to-Belly suplex for a near fall. Shotzi counters with a backslide to get a two-count.

Zelina Vega is watching the match from backstage. Bayley hits some punches. Shotzi blocks a suplex and hits a DDT. Shotzi fires punches before a jumping knee strike in the corner. Bayley ducks out of a step-up enzuigiri and Shotzi has tweaked her leg. Shotzi ducks under a clothesline by Bayley rolls her up for a two-count. Shotzi hits a hip attack in the corner. She hits codebreaker but Iyo puts Bayley’s leg on the ropes. Shotzi argues with Iyo and Bayley rakes her eyes behind the referee’s back. Bayley hits Roseplant to get the pinfall.

Winner – Bayley

We see Matchflow video package for men’s Money in the Bank.


Shotzi gets into a fight with Iyo Sky and Bayley backstage who have the number’s game. They hits a double suplex on Shotzi on a table. Bayley then cuts some of Shotzi’s hair.

Grayson Waller Effect with Logan Paul

Waller welcomes us to the show and introduces Logan Paul famous for making KSI famous in UK. Logan comes out to heavy boos. Waller asks him what will it mean to Logan to have a MITB contract to cash it in against any champion. Logan says we have seen him compete against every champion in this company and teases cashing MITB against Rollins or Roman, or he can just smash it on LA Knight’s face.

Knight’s music hits and he comes out. Knight starts his promo on the ramp itself. Knight says Logan was handed things in WWE but he made his own way. Knight says he has respect for Logan to make his names on social media, but Logan is now standing in his ring and he should realize that Knight is the megastar. Logan takes shot at Knight for his days as the manager of MMM, and says Knight should consider himself lucky that he is even addressing him at this point.

The crowd gets behind Knight. Knight says them to tell Logan whose game is this. The crowd chants LA Knight. Logan calls them drunk. Santos Escobar comes out and says he is the one who needs this, and claims that LWO will win men and women MITB match. Butch runs out and goes after Logan with punch to start a brawl. Escobar decks Knight to the floor. Butch takes Logan over the announce table as we cut to a break.

Santos Escobar vs Butch vs LA Knight

Escobar hits a chop on Butch in the corner. Butch hits a dropkick on Escobar. Knight gets in and hits punch at Butch before a DDT on Escobar. He hits stomps on Butch in the corner before a running knee on Escobar. Butch pushes Knight to the floor. Butch’s German suplex on Escobar is helped by a slingshot tackle from Knight. Knight ducks a roundhouse kick from Butch and hits a side slam for a near fall.

Escobar hits Knight with a hurricanrana. Escobar hits another hurricanrana to put Knight into the corner against Butch. Escobar hits a diving hurricanrana on Butch from the top rope and Knight breaks the pin. Knight hits a powerslam on Escobar. He hits an elbow drop next to get a near fall. Knight gets into an argument with Logan on the floor. Escobar hits a suicide dive and catches Logan with it when Knight ducks. He hits Knight with jumping knee before hitting an enzuigiri on Butch from the apron. Butch counters with a big right as he jumps off the top. Butch hits Bitter End to get the pinfall.

Winner – Butch

After the match, Butch brings in a ladder and sets it up in the middle. Knight pulls him off it and throws him to the floor. Knight climbs but Logan pulls him and throws into the turnbuckle. Butch clotheslines Logan and pulls down MITB briefcase to celebrate with it.


AJ Styles cuts a counter promo for Karrion Kross accepting his challenge. He says he also has someone to put a leash on Scarlett.

Asuka(c) vs Charlotte Flair – WWE Women’s Championship

Bianca Belair is sitting in the front row watching this match. They duck each other before Flair hits some chops. Asuka ducks a bit boot and hits a German suplex. Flair catches her with a German suplex herself. Asuka catches her with double knees. Flair hits a big boot but can not get a cover as Asuka was already under the ropes. Flair climbs upto the top rope but Asuka pulls her down. Asuka hits a backstabber to take us to a break.

Asuka counters a handspring from Flair and puts her in an armbar. Flair quickly turns it around. Asuka blocks a figure four but Flair hits a spear to get a two-count. Asuka rolls to the floor to regroup. Flair hits a moonsault from the top rope. She hits chops on Asuka in front of Bianca. Asuka ducks and puts Bianca in harm’s way when Flair goes for a pump kick. Flair drops Asuka onto the apron. Bianca comes in and nails Asuka with a punch to cause a DQ.

Winner – Asuka(by DQ)

Bianca clears the announce table. Flair comes out to the floor in anger. Flair and Bianca argue on the floor before trading shots. Bianca gets away from a spear and Flair crashes into the steel steps. Bianca ducks a roundhouse kick and drops Asuka on the announce table with KOD. She hits KOD on Flair next. She stands on top of both of them to close the segment.

New Tribal Chief?

Roman Reigns makes his grand entrance with Paul Heyman and Solo Sikoa. We cut to a break.

Heyman hands Roman the mic after the break. Roman asks London to acknowledge him. They throw the one up in the air. Roman says for a long time he has allowed his cousins to say, “We The Ones”. But the truth is they ain’t the ones, as he is the only one. Roman calls himself the greatest of all time and he is the Tribal Chielf. He claims that he is the only one who cares about his cousins and loves the Usos. He is the one who gave them opportunity after opportunity.

But, the most important thing about this is that he was the only one who was willing to give The Usos a second chance like a good father. He is still willing to give his cousins more chance but all they need to do is come out, bow down, acknowledge the Tribal Chief and move on. The Usos’ music hits and they come out. They same Roman has got it all twisted thinking that they are trying to get back into the Bloodline. They say they are past acknowledging and apologizing, and it is all about consequences.

They ask if Roman thought about the consequences if he loses. They claim that Roman is getting pinned tomorrow night at MITB after 3 years. They declare that Roman will be the only one out when he lose, and won’t be The Tribal Chief no more. They also say that they are not willing to become the Tribal Chief but they have someone in mind for that. They look towards Solo. Roman laughs at the thought but becomes concerned when Solo starts staring back at him. Roman asks The Usos to shut up and if they think it is a game.

Jey gets up on the apron and Roman tells him that he is nothing with out Roman. Jey pushes Roman and Jimmy nails him with a superkick. Solo takes Jimmy to the floor. Jey and Roman fight in the ring. Security comes in and Jey hits a superkick on one of them. Roman hits Jey with Superman punch. The brawling continues all over until Jey hits a suicide dive to close the show.
