WWE Smackdown February 9: Logan’s Challenger, EC #1 Contender Match Set
WWE Smackdown episode of February 9, 2024 will feature an announcement for Logan Paul’s next challenger and a match to find the next #1 contender for tag team titles.
Logan Paul opened SmackDown this week after his disqualification win over Kevin Owens at Royal Rumble. Owens also came out asking for a rematch, but Logan denied him. Owens was able to beat Austin Theory in a singles match after using brass knuckles which Logan threw in to help Theory.
After the match, Logan went to Smackdown General Manager Nick Aldis to find him his next challenger as he wanted to shed the part-timer tag associated with him. Logan added that the next challenger could be anyone but Kevin Owens. Later, WWE announced that Logan’s next challenger will be revealed on SmackDown next week.
A match to find the challengers for Undisputed WWE Tag Team Champions Judgment Day for Elimination Chamber Perth event is also set for SmackDown on February 9. WWE is holding a mini tournament to find the new #1 contenders.
This week on SmackDown, Pete Dunne & Tyler Bate won a fatal 4-way to qualify for the #1 contenders match by beating Pretty Deadly(Elton Prince & Kit Wilson), LWO(Cruz Del Toro & Joaquin Wilde) and Legado Del Fantasma’s Humberto & Angel. The second team in this match will be identified on RAW February 5 episode.
Cody Rhodes is also expected to appear on Smackdown February 9, 2024 episode as per his schedule announcement on Twitter earlier this week. The show will air from Spectrum Center in Charlotte, NC. The current line-up is as below:
