Logan Paul retained his United States title via disqualification against Kevin Owens at WWE Royal Rumble 2024 PLE.

The match began with Kevin Owens dominating, preventing Logan Paul from launching any attacks. Owens unleashed a series of chops, putting Paul in a difficult position. However, Logan Paul made a comeback by targeting Owens’ injured hand, relentlessly attacking the vulnerable spot. He executed a moonsault and applied a Kimura lock.

Owens countered with two cannonballs and a frog splash, attempting a pin, but Paul resiliently kicked out. Owens aimed for a third splash, but Paul reversed it and delivered one of his own. The turning point occurred when Paul executed a superplex on Owens, but Owens reversed it with a brainbuster.

In the closing moments, chaos ensued when Logan Paul’s friend attempted to interfere, only to be caught by the referee. Grayson Waller and Austin Theory then appeared, with Theory handing a knuckle duster to Paul. Owens managed to snatch the knuckle and used it to punch Paul, causing him to be knocked down.

However, the referee observed Owens’ use of the knuckle and ruled it as disqualification, declaring Paul the winner. Frustrated, Owens continued his assault and powerbombed Paul through the announcer’s table.

Logan Paul won his first title in WWE title at Crown Jewel 2023 on November 4 when he beat Rey Mysterio to win the United States Championship. WWE held a tournament to find his first challenger and Kevin Owens secured the spot by beating Santos Escobar in the final on January 5 episode of SmackDown.

Things became tense between them after Owens punched Paul with his casted hand. Paul made a point that Owens removed his cast. And when Owens did remove it, Paul also caught him with a big punch. Earlier in the week, Paul and Owens had a heated confrontation at the WWE Performance Center which turned into an intense brawl.
