Welcome to the live coverage for WWE RAW October 23, 2023 episode which was live from American Airlines Arena in Dallas, TX.

The build-up for Crown Jewel 2023 PLE continued with the show. Judgment Day opened the show to celebrate Damian Priest and Finn Balor winning back Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championship. Priest was also set to take on Jey Uso in a singles match.

Drew McIntyre and Sami Zayn were also announced to clash in another singles match. McIntyre also continued her feud with World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins. Logan Paul was appearing live on the show. Johnny Gargano continued the rivalry against Imperium with a singles match against Giovanni Vinci.

New Day and Alpha Academy were set for a tag team match. Becky Lynch defended NXT Women’s Championship against Indi Hartwell. Tune in below for the results of the show.

LIVE UPDATES

Cody Interrupts Judgment Day

The show opens with a recap of Jimmy Uso hitting Jey with a superkick to cost him tag team titles last week. Finn Balor and Damian Priest of Judgment Day, the title winners, come out to the ring to celebrate their win amid a chorus of boos. Balor mimics Priest to ask the crowd to “rise for the Judgment Day”. Priest says they have a hell of a night planned for us. Cody Rhodes’ music hits and he comes out. The crowd is firmly behind him as he enters the ring.

Cody stands opposite the champions and asks them how does it feel like getting interrupted. He says he has some choice words for the leader of Judgment Day, but Rhea Ripley is not here. Cody insinuates that Rhea is not just Mami for Dom-Dom but also for Priest and Balor as she is cutting deal for all of them. However, Cody wants to talk to Priest as he was the one who hit a low blow. Cody says it is not going to be the last shot of the fight. Priest reminds him how he put him through the table.

Priest says he would have gone and found Cody if Cody did not have come out. Priest brings the “story” that Cody is supposed to finish and teases him. Cody starts to remove his tie and unbutton his shirt. Priest says he already has a match planned against Jey for tonight, but there is Crown Jewel coming up. Cody accepts the challenge for the match. Cody then asks why not they go and give everyone a preview.

Rhea Ripley and Dominik Mysterio come out as Cody gets ready to fight. Jey Uso attacks Dominik from behind. Priest and Balor attack Cody. They brawl to the floor. JD McDonagh attacks Cody from behind with a chop block. JD and Priest start to beat up Cody. Priest hits him with a chair shot on the leg against the steel steps to injure him. Crew runs out to stop any further attack.


After the break, we see a recap of what happened before the break. Backstage, Cody is refusing to get medical help and is only helped by Jey Uso.

New Day(Kofi Kingston & Xavier Woods) vs Alpha Academy(Otis & Chad Gable)

Gable and Woods start with some quick chain wrestling. Gable sends Woods to the corner. Woods hits him with an uppercut and a clothesline. Kofi tags in for some quick moves in tandem with Woods. Gable hits a monkeyflip but Kofi lands on his feet. Gable pushes him to the corner but Woods helps him to counter Gable. Kofi and Gable miss their finishers before Gable hits a crossbody to take Kofi to the floor. Woods tries to get in action but Otis runs him over. We cut to a break.

Otis misses a splash from the top. Woods and Gable get the tag. Woods hits quick shots, ducks Gable’s clotheslines before a running forearm shot to drop Gable again. Gable counters with a roll-up before Woods hits a spinning slam to get a two-count. Gable avoids a honor roll and hits a trio of German suplexes to get a two-count. Otis tags in and gets Woods up on his shoulders. Gable hits him with the bulldog to drop Woods from there. Kofi breaks the pin.

Otis hits him with a splash in the corner before hitting him with a caterpillar elbow drop. Otis hits a headbutt on Woods before he misses corner tackle. Gable gets a blind tag. Woods goes for reverse caterpillar on Otis but Gable cuts him off with an ankle lock. Woods struggles under the lock, but manages to roll over to break it up. Otis tags in before Gable is sent to the floor with a low bridge. Woods tags in Kofi who hits Trouble in Paradise on Otis. Kofi hits a suicide dive on Gable. Woods hits elbow drop from the top rope to get the pinfall.

Winner – New Day

NXT Women’s Champion Becky Lynch is interviewed backstage. Becky says The Man has come to Dallas and should bring a fight with her. She adds that Indi Hartwell never lost the title, so, she deserves a title shot even if it means defending her title every week. She brings up her title defence at Halloween Havoc tomorrow and says Lyra might be lurking to find some loopholes in her game, but there ain’t any.


We get a video from The Viking Raiders where Valhalla says when a warriors proves his worth, it becomes a leader among us. She puts a ceremonial cover over Ivar’s shoulder.


We see a recap of World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins accusing Drew McIntyre of colluding with Judgment Day. Rollins is walking backstage when Rhea Ripley comes in. She tries to court Rollins for Judgment Day. Rollins says the group might have become tired of coming after him, and Rhea does not have confidence that Damian Priest cans successfully cash-in MITB briefcase against him. Rhea says Rollins has their respect, but he needs backup to become a champion like Roman Reigns as 1000 days mark is a long way to go.


Backstage, Natalya meets Indi Hartwell and Candice LeRae. She gives a positive update on Tegan Nox before she goes on to motivate Indi for her upcoming title match.

Becky Lynch(c) vs Indi Hartwell – NXT Women’s Championship

Becky ducks Indi’s clothesline and goes for the Manhandle Slam. Indi blocks it and tries to counter. Becky goes out to regroup. Back to the ring, a bit of tussle before Indi sends Becky into the corner before hitting a side slam. Becky avoids a basement slide but Indi sends her into the barricade. We cut to a break.

Indi gets the control back as we return. She hits an elbow drop from the top rope to get a two-count. Becky counters to get a two-count herself. Indi hits a big boot but can only get a two-count. Indi goes to the top rope but Becky decks her and hits a superplex. Becky goes for an armbar before going for an arm triangle. Indi overpowers her to hit a powerbomb to get a two-count. Indi hits a spinebuster to get a two-count. They trade pin attempts before Becky puts on disarmher to get a submission.

Winner – Becky Lynch

They shake hands after the match. Becky goes to have a face-off with Lyra Valkyrie in the front row. Backstage, Candice LeRae was watching the match backstage. Xia Li goes to her and hits a punch in the throat. She says it is a warning for Indi Hartwell.


Adam Pearce is backstage with security to discuss arrangements for 5-way contract signing for Women’s World Championship match. Nick Aldis comes in and tells Pearce that they got off on the wrong foot and wants to have healthy competition between the brands. He tries to say Smackdown is the premier brand. Pearce tells Aldis to stay back and watch how the flagship show operates. A referee comes in and Pearce tells him to double the security for the segment.

Contract Signing

Adam Pearce is in the ring to oversee the contract signing segment. He introduces the challengers one by one. Raquel Rodriguez, Shanya Baszler, Zoey Stark and Nia Jax. They sign contracts one by one while the next name is still making her entrance. Nia does not sign though and asks here is Rhea. Pearce says Rhea is the cause of all these problems, so, he will get her signatures later. Pearce says if Nia wants Rhea, she only needs to sign the contract. Nia also signs.

Rhea Ripley’s music hits and she comes out. She rants against Pearce and says he has set her up. But, all he has done is make her job easier as there will be 4 women less to deal with when she is done with the match. Nia intervenes and says Rhea is smart as she is trying to get her to squash the others. Nia gets in other’s faces. Raquel decks Nia to start a brawl. Security gets into the ring to control but the ladies throw them out of the ring.

Everyone start to attack Nia while also attacking each other. Raquel and Nia are the only ones left in the ring. Nia hits a Samoan Drop on Raquel. Rhea is watching all of this from outside. Nia stares her down from the ring.


Backstage, Ludwig Kaiser is giving Giovanni Vinci some pep talk as Gunther has made Vinci his responsibility. Bronson Reed comes in and tells him to tell his boss Gunther that he wants a rematch. Kaiser tells him to tell it to Gunther himself. Akira Tozawa interrupts Reed and tells him that he wants a match. Reed tries to pass on, but when Tozawa insists, Reed gets ready to dig his grave. Maxxine Dupri comes in and tells Tozawa that coach Gable will not be happy with this.

Johnny Gargano vs Giovanni Vinci

Vinci tackles Gargano to the corner. Gargano fires back with some punches. Vinci hits a spinebuster before hitting dropping his spine on his knees several times. Gargano goes to the apron. He hits an enzuigiri. Vinci fires some more shots before Gargano counters a running tackle with a slingshot spear. Vinci trades punches with him. Gargano gets distracted with Kaiser on the floor and Vinci takes advantage with more shots. Gargano hits a superkick to drop Vinci. Kaiser gets on the apron to throw a tantrum but Tomasso Ciampa attacks him on the floor. Gargano hits One Final Beat to get the pinfall.

Winner – Johnny Gargano

We cut to a video from Shinsuke Nakamura who is pleased with the beating he gave to Ricochet. He wants to find the person who can challenge him enough to bring out his inner-self that he is yet to show.

Logna Paul & Dominik Mysterio – Sons of Adversity

Logan Paul makes his entrance before we cut to a break. Logan starts to talk trash against Dillon Danis about his release from Bellator MMA after he beat Danis. He then starts to discuss Rey Mysterio and their upcoming match at Crown Jewel. He tells keyboard warriors to be teady when he beats Rey Mysterio for United States Championship. Dominik Mysterio’s music hits and he comes out. Lots of boots for Dom-Dom.

Logan tells the fans not to boo him and show some respect. He then praises Dirty Dom for having a deadbeat dad and still growing up to be the champion of an entire “continent”. He also talks about his own humble beginnings to becoming a success in multiple streams. Dominik tries to speak but the boos do not let him. Logan then says it will be so good when he will be introduced as the WWE United States Champion. He asks Samantha Irvin to come into the ring and give her her flowers.

Logan then brings up beating her fiance Ricochet at SummerSlam and then asks her to give us preview of how it’s gonna sound to hear him announced as the new U.S. Champion. Dominik and Logan continue to taunt Samantha. Ricochet hits Logan with a spear and also attacks Dominik when he tries to help. Ricochet heads to the top-rope for a move on Dominik, but Logan pulls him out of the ring.

Natalya & Nikki Cross vs Chelsea Green & Piper Niven

Natalya starts against Chelsea for some quick back and forth. Nikki is just standing in the corner like a statue. Natalya counters a DDT with an inside cradle to get a two-count. Back and forth action continues for a while. Chelsea puts on a side headlock. Nikki starts going back. Natalya breaks up the lock but she has no one to tag. Chelsea attacks her but Natalya keeps control. She continues to battle Chelsea until Piper gets a blind tag. Natalya goes for the cover but Piper comes in. Natalya goes for a DDT on Piper but Chelsea hits her with UnPrettier. Piper hits a running crossbody to get the pinfall.

Winner – Piper Niven & Chelsea Green

Backstage, Jey Uso and Damian Priest are talking as Jey gets ready for the main event. Drew McIntyre walks in and gives his condolensces to Jey for losing tag team titles. He knows how it feels to lose the title shot due to Bloodline. Drew then talks about how if he wasn’t on Raw, Drew’s match with Sami Zayn wouldn’t be happening. So, whatever happens to Sami tonight is on Jey.


Adam Pearce is backstage to be interrupted by The Miz. Miz talks about how it’s been weeks since he has had something worth his stature on RAW. Miz claims that Nick Aldis knows how talented he is. They get interrupted by Rhea Ripley who comes in to sign the contract for Crown Jewel. She walks off, keeping the pen. The camera walks out with her to Miz’s frustration. Dominik Mysterio comes in to talk to Rhea. Rhea tells him that they will get some ice for him.

Drew McIntyre vs Sami Zayn

Drew hits big chops now. Sami is down on his knees. Drew picks him up and hits another chop. Sami gets to the floor and pulls Drew out. Sami drives him into the apron. Drew whips him but Sami bounces back from the barricade to drop him. Back to the ring, Sami goes for a crossbody but Drew counters with a suplex. Drew hits more chops. Sami ducks a clothesline and hits springboard tackle. Sami hits chops now before he manages to send Drew to the floor.

Drew is in control as we return. Sami counters him with a suplex. He hits a clothesline to send Drew to the floor. Sami hits a suicide dive. Drew decks him on the apron when he tries to get in. Sami gets to the top. Drew follows him up. Sami hits a sunset flip powerbomb when Drew goes for White Noise. Sami covers Drew but he kicks at the last moment. Sami goes for Blue Thunderbomb but Drew blocks it.

Drew hits a Glasgow Kiss. Sami cuts off Claymore kick and hits Blue Thunderbomb to get a near fall. Drew hits some chops. Sami goes for an exploder but Drew throws him across the ring with a trio of suplexes. Drew gets ready for Claymore but Sami does not get up. Rhea Ripley’s music hits and she comes out. Drew gets agitated and goes to pick up Sami, but Sami puts him in inside cradle to get a two-count. Sami hits an exploder suplex. He gets ready for a Helluva kick, but Rhea gets to the apron to distract him. Drew hits Sami with Claymore kick to get the pinfall.

Winner – Drew McIntyre

Nick Aldis is talking to Katana Chance and Kayden Carter, telling them that blue looks good on them. Adam Pearce comes in and tells Aldis that when he said he could stay he wasn’t inviting him to stick around backstage and talk to all of his Superstars. Aldis says it was just a friendly conversation and he is gonna take off now. Nikki Cross walks past Pearce in a blank state of mind.

Bronson Reed vs Akira Tozawa

Tozawa hits a chop which does not affect Reed. Reed tries to attack him but Tozawa ducks. Tozawa goes to hit quick strikes but it takes just one tackle from Reed to drop him. Reed throws him to the corner before more tackles and shots. He throws Tozawa across the ring with a suplex. Reed hits a military press slam. Tozawa slips away from a senton. Tozawa hits quick punches. He goes for Chaos Theory but Reed is too big for him. Reed catches his crossbody and hits a Death Valley Driver and senton. Reed hits Tsunami to get the pinfall.

Winner – Bronson Reed

New Day and Alpha Academy are talking backstage. They have a Dallas Cowboys special belt. Tozawa comes in and Gable tells him how he was advised not to have this match. They hand the special belt to Tozawa. DIY come in and tells the other two teams that they are back in tag team action after 3 years.


Drew McIntyre is backstage when he gets confronted by Seth Rollins. Rollins congratulates McIntyre for winning his first match as “the newest member of The Judgment Day.” McIntyre says Rollins was also talking to Rhea earlier. They both try to argue that they are not affiliated with The Judgment Day. Drew ends the conversation by saying that the Best Man will win at Crown Jewel.

Damian Priest vs Jey Uso

They lock up to start the match. Priest controls the match for the first minute. He misses a corner splash. Jey quickly hits a dropkick to send Priest to the floor and follows up with a suicide dive. We cut to a break.

Priest is back in control as we return. He hits Broken Arrow to get a two-count. Jey trades forearm shots with him. Jey gets the upper hand eventually. Priest sends him to the corner but Jey dodges a corner splash again. Jey hits an enzuigiri from the apron before a crossbody from the top rope to get a two-count.

Priest nails a big right as he comes off the ropes. He hits a lariat to get a two-count. Priest sets up for a chokeslam but Jey slips out and hits an uppercut. He hits a Samoan Drop to get a two-count. We want tables chant from the crowd. Jey goes for a suicide dive as Priest goes to the floor. Priest catches him and drops him on the table with a flatliner.

They get back to the ring. Priest blocks a superkick before they trade enzuigiris. Priest hits another flatliner to get a two-count. Jey slips out of Razor’s edge. He hits a superkick. Finn Balor runs out. Jey tries to deal with him and hits a suicide dive. This allows Priest to catch him with South of Heaven chokeslam to get the pinfall.

Winner – Damian Priest

After the match, Balor continues to beat up Jey. He hits a Coupe de Grace. They bring in steel chair. Cody Rhodes comes out hobbling on one leg with the other leg taped up. Balor meets him on the ramp where Cody drops him easily. He gets into the ring and hits a dropdown uppercut on Priest. He gets the chair and slams it on Priest’s back. He sets up the chair on Priest’s leg but Balor pulls Priest out of the ring. Jey gets up and raise Cody’s hands to close the show.
