WWE NXT 2.0 episode of April 12, 2022, will come up two championship matches. The women’s title and NXT North American Title will be defended at the show. 

NXT Women’s Champion Mandy Rose will defend her championship against Dakota Kai in a singles match. Meanwhile, Solo Sikoa will challenge Cameron Grimes for the NXT North American title. We will also get to know what will happen with the relinquished NXT Tag Team Championships.

The show opens with recap of Bron Breakker’s win over Gunther last week to retain NXT Championship and how his father Rick Steiner was kidnapped by Joe Gacy and Harland.

Cameron Grimes(c) vs Solo Sikoa – NXT North American Championship Match

Sikoa goes for an early Samoan Drop but Grimes avoids it. Both men counter with pin attempts. Grimes hits an armdrag and works the arm for a few times. Sikoa picks him up for a body slam but Grimes holds onto the arm and shoulder stretch. Sikoa hits a shoulder tackle after throwing Grimes on the ropes. He follows with a senton. Grimes misses Cave In and they come to a stalemate.

Grimes tells Sikoa that his bloodline can kiss his a**. Grimes slams his face into the turnbuckle. Sikoa does the same thing before clotheslining him to the floor. Grimes comes back with a running kick from the apron and hits cannonball on the floor to take us to a break.

They are trading strikes in the ring. Sikoa nails a headbutt, follows with a back splash in the corner. He misses the next attempt and Grimes hits him with a headscissor takedown. Grimes hits a German suplex for a two-count. Grimes goes for the Cave In but Sikoa sends him into the turnbuckle, and quickly follows with a corner splash. Grimes blocks Samoan Drop. They trade shots again. Grimes hits a running Spanish Fly for a near fall.

Sikoa counters Cave In with a Samoan Drop for a near fall. Sikoa goes to the top. Grimes fights him on the top for a while. Sikoa fights off Trick Williams before hitting a splash on him on the floor. He returns to the ring and Grimes hits Cave In to get the pin and the win.

Winner – Cameron Grimes

Carmelo Hayes attacks Grimes after the match. Sikoa drops him with a punch. Williams hits him with a chop block and sends him into the turnbuckle. Hayes and Williams beat up Grimes for a while. Hayes picks up the North American title and puts it on Grimes.


Grayson Waller cuts off the commentators and says they should have been handed the tag team titles. Sanga is pissed off due to that and will shred everyone to hand him the tag team titles.


The Creed Brothers cut a pre-recorded promo with Malcolm Bivens and rant against Pretty Deadly. We cut to Creed Brothers drawing their number for Gauntlet match for later tonight. Brutus draws a number and says they would not have it any other way.


Bron Breakker is out in the ring and cuts a promo on Joe Gacy. He says his father is fine but what Gacy did last week was not good at all. He calls out Gacy to come out and face him in the ring to find out who the real tough guy is. Gacy appears on the big screen and says his father took his beating like a man. Gacy shows Rick Steiner’s Hall of Famer ring and says his father sacrificed this ring for him. Gacy throws the ring in fire as the segment ends.


McKenzie Mitchell is backstage with Toxic Attraction trio. Rose says a lot of voices are going on in Dakota Kai’s head, but none of them are saying that she can become the champion tonight.


Von Wagner attacks Jacket Time backstage. He drops Kushida with a powerbomb into the crate. Robert Stone appears on the scene and says it seems like there will be no match tonight.


Robert Stone is out to the ring with Von Wagner. Ikemen Jiro attacks Wagner and forces him off to the floor. Jiro says he wants a match. Wagner accepts the challenge.

Von Wagner vs Ikemen Jiro

Jiro nails him with an enziguiri. He unloads in the corner. Wagner drops him with a clothesline. Wagner hits elbow drops. He hits a fallaway slam next. Jiro hits a couple of punches before Wagner puts him in a bear hug. Jiro comes of it by hitting punches. Jiro hits some calf kicks and more punches. He hits a dropkick and a superkick. Jiro goes to the top and hits a Swanton bomb for a two-count. Stone runs a distraction and Wagner nails Jiro with a big boot. Wagner hits F5 to get the pin and the win.

Winner – Von Wagner

Nikkita Lyons is backstage for an interview. She says Lash is athletic, but she does not have to prove anything to Lash and only needed to show what she can do. Lash Legends nails her with a pump kick out of nowhere.

Pretty Deadly – Elton Prince and Kit Wilson cut a promo about attacking The Creed Brothers and destroying their dojo. They draw their number and are also pretty happy with it.

Mandy Rose(c) vs Dakota Kai – NXT Women’s Championship Match

Kai takes Rose to the corner before the referee separates her. Rose kicks her away. Rose follows with a body slam. Kai counters after another body slam attempt and gets a two-count with a crucifix. Kai hits armdrags and a dropkick. Kai knocks Rose to the floor and hits a crossbody on all three women from Toxic Attraction. We cut to a break.

Rose is in control as we return. She drops Kai face-first on the mat. Kai is whipped to the corner. A snapmare is followed by a chinlock. Kai gets to her feet and fights back. She hits a double stomp and snapmare. Kai hits running kick to the face in the corner. Rose hits a chop block. She follows with a spinebuster. Rose is clutching her hamstring.

Kai hits a headbutt and drops Rose on her knees. Jayne distracts the referee. Kai knocks off Dolin and takes her title. Rose hits a running against the title to get the pin.

Winner – Mandy Rose

After the match, Toxic Attraction are celebrating in the ring. Wendy Choo comes behind them and sprays water on them with her super soakers.


Joe Gacy is in the woods again to cuts another promo. He says we are in time of social media and the court of public opinion and the truth is what people believe, not what they know. He says Bron cannot carry this brand on his back. Gacy says he is going to cut Bron down to size but he will keep one thing. Gacy pulls out the Hall of Fame from the fire and puts it on his finger, burning it in the process.


Legado Del Fantasma are backstage. Tony D’Angelo walks in and says they might have a misunderstanding last week. He brings out an envelope as a peace offering. Santos Escobar puts the envelope back in his jacket saying that the pride of La Familia is more than that.

Future is Bleak!

Cora Jade comes out to the ring. She takes the mic and says NXT Stand and Deliver was the biggest week of her life as her parents got to see her from the second row as she took on three great women. Coming out of that match, she realized that she need to become the Women’s champion. She wrote in her notebook when she was 8 years old that she will become a champion in WWE. And she will work her a** off and will make sure her name will be with the likes of AJ Lee, Natalya, Bayley, and others.

Natalya’s music hits and she comes out as the PC crowd gives her a huge ovation. She hugs a girl in the front row. Natalya is emotional as she gets into the ring and sinks in the response. Natalya says this building brings back so many memories. She goes on the acknowledge Jade and says it is good to finally meet her. Jade goes berserk with emotion upon being in the ring with her childhood hero. She rambles for a while about how she idolizes Natalya.

Jade brings up how she messaged Natalya on Twitter after she pointed out at her on SmackDown. Natalya says she remembers Jade from 2011 and she is glad to have pointed at the right girl. Natalya gives her props for being humble, hardworking, and… Jade says she can pass out and die now after hearing all of this. Natalya says she has competed against the landscape and Jade is the future…. But the future is bleak. Natalya slaps Jade before taking her down with a double leg. Natalya puts Jade in the sharpshooter. Jade taps out immediately. Natalya lets her go as a referee walks in. Jade is weeping as Natalya stares her down.


Josh Briggs and Brooks Jensen are pumped backstage for the gauntlet match tonight. Fallon Henley also screams with them.


A promo for NXT UK’s Nathan Frazer, who is coming to the NXT.

Xyon Quinn vs Draco Anthony

Anthony hits a dropkick to start. Quinn drops him with a tackle. Quinn works his arm and Draco takes him to the corner and slaps on his chest. Quinn tosses him across the ring. Anthony hits back with a clothesline, sends him to the corner and then hits a belly-to-belly suplex.

Quinn takes him to the corner and unloads. Quinn runs him over a clothesline. A running uppercut follows. Quinn hits a Samoan drop. He follows with a running forearm follows. He picks up Anthony to his feet and hits the running forearm two more times before getting the pin.

Winner – Xyon Quinn

Backstage, Indi Hartwell & Dexter Lumis and Persia Perrota & Duke Hudson are backstage. Indi and Persia have an epiphany that Lumis and Hudson could also become the tag team champions. They do not come onboard at first, but the ladies persaude them into agreeing to it.

Natalya is walking backstage when Tatum Paxley comes to her and says she wants to prove herself against her.

NXT Tag Team Championship Gauntlet Match

Creed Brothers vs Legado Del Fantasma: Mendoza starts hot by knocking off Julius from the apron and then sending Brutus to the floor. Wilde tags in and Mendoza dives on the Creed Brothers. Quick action continues from Legado Del Fantasma. Creed Brothers take over briefly. They put both opponents in ankle lock at the same time. Brutus hits Razor’s Edge on Joaquin Wilde. Wilde hits a jawbreaker and tags in Mendoza. Creed Brothers cut off Fantasma’s double team move as Brutus pulls off Wilde to the mat. They hit their finisher on Mendoza to get the pin.

Josh Briggs & Brooks Jensen vs Creed Brothers: We return from the break with match in action. Brutus is put through a table with a double powerbomb by Briggs and Jensen. They keep Julius under control in the ring. A double powerbomb follows on Julius. Brutus breaks the pin after a double team slam. Julius tags in Brutus. Julius pulls out Jensen out to the floor. Brutus runs over Briggs and pins him.

Cameron Grimes vs Solo Sikoa: Last week, Solo Sikoa challenged Cameron Grimes for the NXT North American Championship and stated that championships run through his bloodline. So, will Sikoa be able to become the champion just like his brothers? 

Mandy Rose vs Dakota Kai: After a successful defense at NXT Stand & Deliver, Mandy Rose will put her NXT Women’s Championship on the line once again when she faces Dakota Kai next week. The match comes

Tag Team Title Gauntlet Match:  NXT tag titles were relinquished last week after Nash Carter was released from WWE. This week Grayson Waller & Sanga, Legado del Fantasma, The Creed Brothers, Josh Briggs & Brooks Jensen, and Pretty Deadly will take part in a Gauntlet match to determine the new champion.
