STORYLINES

Elimination Chamber Matches: Two Chamber matches were announced for the event for #1 contender for men and women World Championship at WrestleMania 41. After Royal Rumble 2025 winners Jey Uso and Charlotte Flair made their choices for WrestleMania known, the men’s Chamber match was confirmed to be for the #1 contender for Undisputed WWE Championship while the women’s Chamber match was confirmed to be for Women’s World Championship.

The qualifying matches for men’s Elimination Chamber match and their results were as follows:

• John Cena was directly announced for the match without any qualification match.

• Drew McIntyre def. LA Knight & Jimmy Uso – SmackDown, February 7
• Logan Paul def. Rey Mysterio – RAW, February 10
• Damian Priest def. Jacob Fatu & Braun Strowman – SmackDown, February 14
• Seth Rollins def. Finn Balor – RAW, February 17

The qualifying matches for women’s Elimination Chamber match and their results were as follows:

• Liv Morgan def. Iyo Sky(via DQ) – RAW, February 3
• Bianca Belair def. Piper Niven – SmackDown, February 7
• Alexa Bliss def. Candice LeRae – SmackDown, February 7
• Bayley def. Lyra Valkyrie vs – RAW, February 10
• Naomi def. Chelsea Green – SmackDown, February 14
• Roxanne Perez def. Raquel Rodriguez- RAW, February 17

Women’s Tag Team Match: Tiffany Stratton and Nia Jax were cosying up and formed an alliance during the Summer of 2024. Stratton won the Money in the Bank briefcase in July. Jax also won the WWE Women’s Championship at SummerSlam 2024. Later, Candice LeRae and Jax were seen together and Tiffany got sidelined slowly. Tiffany ended up cashing in her Money in the Bank contract against Jax for the title on January 3 SmackDown episode. During the women’s Royal Rumble match 2025, Trish Stratus eliminated LeRae before she got eliminated by Jax. During February 14 SmackDown episode, Tiffany beat Jax via disqualification after LeRae attacked her. Following the match, Jax and LeRae beat up Stratton, which prompted Stratus to get up from the crowd to assist Stratton. Stratus then proposed to team up with Stratton at Elimination Chamber event against Jax and LeRae.

Unsanctioned Match: On January 20 RAW episode, Sami Zayn’s promo was interrupted by his friend Kevin Owens. Owens said that he would have Sami’s back, and believed that Sami would do the same when Owens will face Cody Rhodes for the Undisputed WWE Championship in a ladder match at Royal Rumble 2025. At the event, Sami came out to ringside to check on Owens, but he did not get involved in the match as Cody put him through a ladder on the way to a win. On RAW February 3 episode, Owens attacked Sami with a package piledriver, severely injuring his neck which ruled him out of action for an undetermined period of time. Owens later claimed via a promo on social media that Zayn’s refusal to help him during the match was a betrayal and challenged him to a match at Elimination Chamber, regardless of whether or not Zayn would be medically cleared. On February 17 RAW episode, Sami accepted Owens’ challenge. But, Raw General Manager Adam Pearce told Sami that he could not sanction the match since Sami was not medically cleared. Later, the match between them was announced as an unsanctioned match at Elimination Chamber.
