WWE Backlash 2024 Event Scheduled for May 4, 2024 in France
WWE is scheduled to arrive in France with a PLE event in 2024.
WWE has revealed that WWE Backlash France is set to happen on May 4, 2024, in Lyon-Decines, France. This event marks the inaugural Premium Live Event to be broadcast from France.
The announcement includes the May 3, 2024, episode of SmackDown, which will also be broadcast live from France preceding the Backlash PLE.

WWE has previously broadcast televised shows in France, featured on the French channel Canal+. The last was in April 1993, showcasing Yokozuna’s victory over Jim Duggan in the main event.
In 2023, WWE hosted Backlash in Puerto Rico, marking it as the highest-grossing and most-viewed Backlash in the company’s history. During the main event, Cody Rhodes secured a victory against Brock Lesnar in a one-on-one match.
As of now, no matches have been officially announced for the Backlash 2024 PLE, and WWE has not included any superstar photos in the promotional poster.
