WrestleMania XL: Ladder Match for WWE Tag Team Titles Announced
WWE has announced a ladder match for the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championship at WrestleMania 40 event.
RAW General Manager Adam Pearce and SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis had previously teased a big announcement related to tag team titles. The announcement came during RAW March 11 episode where both men appeared in a video package. They announced that Judgment Day’s Finn Balor and Damian Priest will defend tag team titles in a ladder match which will feature a total of 6 teams.
The challenger teams will be identified via qualifiers in coming episodes of RAW and SmackDown. WWE also revealed three qualifiers for RAW March 18 episode. New Day(Kofi Kingston & Xavier Woods) will face Alpha Academy (Otis & Akira Tozawa). DIY (Johnny Gargano & Tommaso Ciampa) will face The Creed Brothers (Julius Creed & Brutus Creed). The Miz & R-Truth will face Indus Sher(Veer Mahaan & Sanga).
Balor and Priest were not happy over the announcement as they confronted the managers. They were told that the idea for the match came from R-Truth and The Miz. Priest also defeated R-Truth in a singles match. Keep tuned in for updates from WWE.
