Page vs Cole, Baker vs Rosa Set for AEW Revolution 2022 PPV
During this week’s Rampage episode, AEW has announced World Championship and Women’s World Championship match for AEW Revolution 2022 PPV.
AEW World Champion Adam Page was confronted by #1 ranked singles fighter Adam Cole earlier this week on AEW Dynamite. The segment led to Cole teammates Bobby Fish and Kyle O’Reilly attacking Page and beating him until Dark Order came out to save him.
Cole faced Dark Order’s 10 in a singles match at AEW Rampage episode of February 18, 2022. Cole successfully retained his undefeated streak and #1 ranking in AEW with a win over 10. Later in the show, the commentary team confirmed the match between Adam Page and Adam Cole for the AEW World title.
Britt Baker has been feuding with Thunder Rosa for a long time. The pair had a fan favorite Lights Out match last year to end one part of their rivalry. Two weeks back, it was revealed that Britt Baker was the one to bring in Mercedes Martinez to attack Rosa during her match in the TBS title tournament.
This week on Dynamite, Rosa defeated Martinez in a No Disqualification match. After that match, Baker, along with Rebel and Jamie Hayter, attacked Rosa once again. At Rampage, it was revealed that Rosa will challenge for Women’s title.
The total count for confirmed matches at AEW Revolution has now reached 5. MJF vs CM Punk, AEW Tag Team Championship match and Face of the Revolution ladder match are the other announced matches. The event takes place on March 6, 2022, in Orlando, FL.
