Strowman vs Tyson Fury Reportedly Planned for Crown Jewel 2019
WWE may be planning another high profile for Crown Jewel 2019 show with heavyweight boxing champion Tyson Fury taking on Braun Strowman for the Saudi event later this month.
Last Friday on SmackDown’s Fox premiere, Tyson Fury was in the front row and had a tense showdown with Braun Strowman. During the 8 men tag team match, Strowman teased Fury with the boxing stance and later pushed Ziggler towards him to infuriate Fury.
After the match got over, Strowman continued to tease Fury from the ring, prompting Fury to cross the barricade. However, he was quickly swarmed by security personnel. Later WWE announced that Fury will be offered a live mic on Monday Night RAW episode of 7 October 2019.
On the latest Wrestling Observer Radio, it was reported that Fury and Strowman will likely face off at Crown Jewel 2019 show on 31 October at Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. WWE is returning to Saudi Arabia for the second Crown Jewel event at King Fahd International Stadium.
Also expected for the show is the WWE Championship match between Cain Velasquez and Brock Lesnar. Both the matches are likely to be announced in next week or so at RAW and SmackDown episodes. The 10 men tag team match between Team Hulk Hogan and Team Ric Flair is already announced for Crown Jewel with Seth Rollins and Rusev on Hogan’s side and Randy Orton and Baron Corbin on Flair’s side.
