WWE has announced the match between Braun Strowman vs Bobby Lashley for Saudi Arabia’s Super Showdown 2019 show.
WWE will be holding the Super Showdown event at King Abdullah Sports City Stadium in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia on 7th June this year. The announcement for this match was yesterday via WWE’s social media handles. Although these two have faced each other in tag team matches, there is no direct rivalry between them. The announcement is in line with other announced matches: blockbuster face-off without any storyline. However, Lashley has fired shots on Strowman on Twitter after the announcement.
Three matches were announced earlier by WWE when they confirmed the name and date of the show. The first is the never seen before and highly anticipated match between the Undertaker and Goldberg. While the other one is the face-off of Evolution stablemates Triple H and Randy Orton.
The 50 man battle royal is also announced in line with the Greatest Royal Rumble match last year at the same venue. Apart from this, there are several matches that are rumored for the show:
- Seth Rollins vs Brock Lesnar for Universal Championship
- Kofi Kingston vs Kevin Owens for WWE Championship
- AJ Styles vs Drew McIntyre
- Roman Reigns vs Shane McMahon
