AJ Styles(c) vs Gran Metalik – WWE Intercontinental Championship Match
AJ Styles has had an action-packed Intercontinental Championship reign so far. He has lost the non-title matches against Drew Gulak and Matt Riddle, but then defeated both superstars in the title matches to retain the belt so far.
Styles will face a new challenger this week on SmackDown in Gran Metalik. The Luchador won the #1 contender match last week against Drew Gulak, Shorty G and his Lucha House Party member Lince Dorado. Styles was quick to confront Metalik after his win last week. But Metalik also looks up for the challenge as his slap sent the champion out of the ring in a comical fashion. Styles can never get boring when he is a heel!!
Bayley(c) vs Nikki Cross – WWE SmackDown Women’s Championship Match
For months, WWE is teasing towards the split of Bayley and Sasha Banks. However, last week they put another tag team at crossroads when Bayley managed to pit Alexa Bliss and Nikki Cross against each other for a title shot.
Nikki Cross emerged victorious in the match to setup a championship rematch against Bayley from Extreme Rules PPV. But does this rematch comes at a cost of soured relationship with Alexa?
Naomi vs Lacey Evans
After being left out of the show for a couple of months since WrestleMania, Naomi is back in the fold. And this feud with Lacey Evans is turning out to be a nice one. Evans managed to win the earlier match between the pair after their first encounter ended in a no contest. But both of those matches ended pretty quickly. We would like to see a 10-minute match between them this time around.
Otis & Mandy Rose Reappear
After getting good traction after his win at Money in the Bank, Otis suddenly disappeared after a couple of vignettes with Mandy Rose. The pair will return this week on SmackDown. What’s new is in store for them?
