Roman Reigns to face Drew McIntyre at Stomping Grounds
Roman Reigns has announced that he will face Drew McIntyre at Stomping Grounds pay per view.
Drew Mcintyre lead the beatdown on Roman Reigns when he returned from his battle with Leukemia. Drew McIntyre’s team of heels lost to the Shield at Fastlane earlier this year. After a series of attacks from McIntyre, they had a match at WrestleMania where Roman defeated McIntyre.
Their feud slowed down a little bit after that but it reignited after McIntyre became Shane McMahon’s henchman and again got involved with Roman. This week, Roman Reigns and Shane McMahon opened the show. Roman cut off Shane in his promo and told him that he will be done with him at Super Showdown and will beat McIntyre at Stomping Grounds.
Roman and McIntyre worked a tag team match with the Usos and the Revival on either side respectively. The match was won by McIntyre and the Revival after McIntyre took down Roman with a distraction from Shane and went on to hit Jimmy with a Claymore Kick to get the pin. A post-match beatdown on Roman followed where the Revival, McIntyre and Shane took turns to hit him with their finishers.
