Seth Rollins has confirmed that he will go one-on-one against the Fiend Bray Wyatt inside the cell at Hell in a Cell 2019 for his WWE Universal Championship defense.
The match was first teased during the advertisements for Hell in a Cell 2019 show. Golden 1 Center’s Twitter account was advertising that the Fiend will challenge the winner of Seth Rollins vs Braun Strowman match at Clash of Champions. Bray Wyatt also addressed the same thing during a Firefly Fun House episode a few weeks back at RAW.
As Rollins was celebrating his hard-fought win over Braun Strowman at Clash of Champions, he was attacked by the Fiend on the ramp. Using the sister Abigail and Mandible Claw, the Fiend laid out Rollins to close the show on Sunday. Then, last night at RAW, Rollins addressed the attack and went on to challenge the Fiend for a Hell in a Cell match at the namesake PPV on 6 October 2019.
Wyatt interrupted Rollins’ promo with a Firefly Fun House segment. Wyatt explained that the Fiend attacked Rollins because he had made a lot of mistakes. Wyatt warned him that he said hello to Rollins at Clash of Champions, and might have more to say later in the night.
During the show, Wyatt once again appeared in the Fun House and was seen putting up Seth Rollins’ portrait on his wall of Friendship which already had the likes of Finn Balor, Mick Foley, Kurt Angle, and others who have been attacked by the Fiend in last 2 months.
WWE Hell in a Cell 2019 takes place at Golden 1 Cente in Sacramento, California on 6 October 2019.
