Report: Jade Cargill Done with AEW, Likely Heading to WWE

Former AEW TBS Women’s Champion Jade Cargill may soon be leaving AEW and might join the rival promotion WWE.

Jade Cargill returned to AEW last week at Collision to attack Kris Statlander. She has been on a break since AEW Double or Nothing when she dropped the TBS Women’s title to Statlander.

She faced Statlander in a rematch for the title at AEW Rampage tapings this week(spoilers available here). However, that might prove to be her last match in AEW.

Fightful Select reported that Jade Cargill is believed to have finished with AEW. Additionally, as per sources in both AEW and WWE, it is believed that Cargill is heading to WWE. As per the report, the belief is that Cargill was brought back for a short stint for a rematch with Statlander so that she could put her over before leaving for WWE.

Cargill earlier had a tryout in WWE in 2019. It is believed that she chose AEW over joining WWE in 2020. Cargill joined AEW late in 2020, making her first appearance on November 11 Dynamite episode. She soon became one of the most heavily pushed stars in the promotion.

Jade went on to become the inaugural AEW TBS Women’s Champion in January 2022. She held the title after 508 days title reign. She also carried an unbeaten run until she dropped the title to Statlander at Double or Nothing 2023.
