Bobby Lashley vs The Miz – WWE Championship

We get the replay from last week’s RAW. It is confirmed that RAW will open with WWE title match. Hurt Business is backstage. Sarah catches up with Lashley. Lashley says he waited for 16 years and saw others getting the opportunity ahead of him. But now, The Allmighty era has begun.

Miz enters to the ring with John Morrison. I stand here empty-handed because Lashley is the new WWE Champion. He says Shane McMahon pulled a fast one after he has done so much for WWE in media commitments. He does not take vacations and not get injured. But when he said his body is having a problem, they did not care. He also defended the title successfully by getting counted out. He played to his advantage to keep onto the belt.

The rant continues as the crowd starts booing now. Miz continues that he was threatened that the title would be forfeited if he did not defend. We can all agree that it is unfair. Lashley brutalized him and he has no repercussions. WWE has done one thing right with his rematch. He warns everyone celebrating Lashley’s title win that there will be a new hashtag tonight after he becomes the new WWE Champion. We cut to the break as Lashley is walking towards the entrance.

They circle the ring and Miz rolls out of the ring. He does that again. Lashley picks him up and Miz rakes his face against the ropes. Lashley recovers and hits a delayed vertical suplex. Lashley with some shoulder thrusts in the corner. Lashley misses a running shoulder tackle in the corner and rolls to the floor. Miz tries to take advantage but Lashley drops him on the floor as we go to the break.

Miz blocks a move and low bridges Lashley out of the ring. He goes for a dropkick from the ropes but Lashley moves away. Lashley picks him and runs him face-first into the ringpost. They get back to the ring and Miz is asking for a break. Lashley with a flatliner. He continues to unload on Miz. A big spinebuster sets him up for the Hurt Lock. Lashley puts on the Hurt Lock and gets the submission.

Winner – Bobby Lashley, retains WWE Championship

Sarah Schrieber catches up with Drew McIntyre. McIntyre says Lashley did not beat him for the title, instead waited for Miz to win the title and then won it from him. He continues on an angry rant until Sheamus attacks him. Sheamus goes on to send him into the production crates. He yells at McIntyre saying this is not over yet. Sheamus leaves. McIntyre recovers quickly and is angry.

Drew McIntyre now catches Adam Pearce and asks him to get him a match against Sheamus as quickly as possible. Pearce agrees.

Strowman wants Apology from Shane McMahon

Braun Strowman is backstage. R-Truth comes upto him and is asking for his help to get 24/7 title back. He thinks Strowman is asking for apology from him. He goes on to read a poem and says sorry. Strowman snaps and says he is going to the ring to demand apology from Shane. R-Truth does Men in Black kind of device for Strowman to forget about the segment.

After the break, Drew McIntyre vs Sheamus is announced in a No Disqualification match.

Braun Strowman comes out to the ring. He addresses Shane McMahon and recalls what happened last week. He says either you are laughing with him or at him. He wants a damn apology from Shane. Shane McMahon makes his entrance and comes into the ring after circling it. Shane gets in Strowman’s face and says he apologizes. Shane leaves the ring and Strowman is confused. Shane stops at the stage like he is about to say something. But he decides against it. Strowman yells at him to say what he wants to say. Shane leaves.

After the break, Sarah Schrieber catches up with Shane. Shane has no comments to make.

Drew McIntyre vs Sheamus – No Disqualification Match

Sheamus makes his entrance to the ramp. McIntyre attacks him at the stage itself. They brawl into the ring. The beel rings as McIntyre corners Sheamus. Sheamus gets on the headlock. McIntyre whips him and hits a shoulder tackle. Sheamus rakes his eyes and sweeps his leg in the corner. A back body drop seds Sheamus to the apron. McIntyre tries to hit suplex but Sheamus hits him with a big knee. McIntyre is sent to the floor where he quickly turns it around to send Sheamus over the announce table.

Sheamus comes back with a clothesline. He brings out a kendo stick now. McIntyre sends him over the barricade. He sets up the steel steps and powerslams Sheamus into them. McIntyre sends Sheamus into the ring and picks up the kendo stick. Sheamus kicks at the stick when McIntyre was at the apron. Sheamus runs him over with a clothesline and starts to unload on him with kendo sticks. Sheamus with a rolling senton to get a two-count.

Sheamus works on McIntyre’s jaw. The crowd gets behind McIntyre now. Sheamus goes for the kendo stick shot but McIntyre counters. A release German suplex and a neckbreaker from McIntyre. McIntyre picks the kendo stick. Sheamus charges and McIntyre rains the stick on him. Sheamus rolls out of the ring and manages to send McIntyre into the ringpost. Sheamus hits a chokeslam backbreaker on McIntyre onto the announce table.

Sheamus rakes McIntyre’s eyes as we return. He hits Irish curse backbreaker next before putting on the cloverleaf. McIntyre hits some punches to avoid the lock. McIntyre with a spinebuster to get a two-count. He sets up Sheamus on the top turnbuckle. Sheamus kicks at him but McIntyre manages to hit the ropes to dismantle Sheamus at the turnbuckle. McIntyre hits a superplex to get a near fall.

Sheamus counters and goes to bring in the steel chair. McIntyre kicks at his knee and slams the steel chair on Sheamus’s back. McIntyre with a futureshock DDT on the steel chair for another near fall. McIntyre sets up for the Claymore but Sheamus throws the steel chair onto him. Sheamus hits a big knee to get a two-count. Sheamus sets up the chair in the turnbuckle.

Sheamus goes to send him into the chair but McIntyre counters to send him into the chair. McIntyre quickly follows with the Claymore but Sheamus gets dropped onto the floor. McIntyre goes to the floor to bring Sheamus back. Sheamus capitalizes with a kick on the floor. Sheamus picks up the steel chair and McIntyre does the same. Both charge at each other and ends up colliding with steel steps.

Both men’s heads is struck by the steel steps. McIntyre is dropped over the barricade. Sheamus is at ringside. The referee checks on both men and calls to end the match with no-contest. The medical team and other officials come to check on both guys.

Result – No Contest

We get a recap of Randy Orton’s storyline with the Fiend and Alexa Bliss. AJ Styles is backstage with new addition to broadcast team in Kevin Patrick along with Omus. AJ cuts Patrick off and takes shots at Randy Orton saying Orton is now hearing voices in his head. Orton appears and Omus gets AJ behind him. Orton asks him if it funny if someone hears voices in his head. AJ says it’s weak. Orton challenges him for a match and AJ accepts.

Shelton Benjamin(w/ Cedric Alexander) vs Xavier Woods(w/ Kofi Kingston)

RAW Tag Team Championship match is announced for next week between Hurt Business and New Day. Shelton powers Woods out of the ring. Woods gets back to the ring and manages to hits a sidekick. Shelton hits him with a sideslam and then scoops him for another slam, and then another. Kofi shouts at him, “sick moveset, Shelton.” Shelton puts on the headlock and Woods tries to get to his feet. Benjamin slams him again.

Woods counters in the corner but Shelton catches him on the ropes. Shelton with a big knee to the face to get a two-count. Woods breaks a headlock with a stunner. Woods with some chops as he unloads. Woods gets him in the backslide pin for a two-count. Shelton hits a big boot. As he goes for the pin, Woods gets him in the small package to get the win.

Winner – Xavier Woods

WWE United States Champion Riddle is backstage with Sarah Schrieber. He is not concerned about RETRIBUTION but about where to hide his scooter. New Day gets backstage and they discuss some video game stuff before taking a shot at Slapjack. Riddle’s music hits and he hands his scooter to Kofi to keep safe.

Riddle vs Slapjack(w/ Mustafa Ali)

Riddle vs Mustafa Ali is announced for next week for WWE United States Championship. Riddle hits a gut-wrench suplex, flying elbow in the corner, penalty kick and standing senton to get the match going. Slapjack moves to the ringside where Mustafa Ali is shouting at him. Slapjack hits at Riddle’s feet to counter. Slapjack gets the control in the ring. with a snap suplex and the falcon arrow to get a two-count.

Slapjack with a big dropkick now. He goes to the top where Riddle cuts him off. Riddle gets dropped from the top but manages to turn missile dropkick into a powerbomb and a flash knee. Slapjack comes back with a big knee for another two-count. Riddle with the final flash knee and Broton to get the win. The match went on at a frantic pace.

Winner – Riddle

Mustafa Ali is shouting at Slapjack as Riddle exits.

Nia Jax & Shayna Baszler (c) vs Lana & Naomi – WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship

Naomi and Jax start. Nia shoves her into the corner. Lana tags in but double whip is blocked. They hit a kick combo. Jax runs away to tag in Baszler. She rams Lana into the corner. Lana with a bulldog and tags in Naomi. They double team on Shayna briefly. Lana tags back in, tilt-a-whirl into a double Russian legsweep, only two! Naomi dives on the champs and we go to break!

Back from the commercial, Baszler is in control with a top wristlock in on Lana, she gets away, tags made, Naomi lights Nia up with the “Speedball” Mike Bailey kicks! Headscissors driver blocked. Noami with a big boot and tags in Lana. Naomi gets knocked from the apron while dealing with Reginald and Nia blasts her off the apron. Nia Jax hits a folding press on Lana to get the pin.

Winner- Nia Jax & Shayna Baszler

Randy Orton vs AJ Styles

They lock up and Orton gets AJ in the corner. He even gets around the official to punch AJ. Orton is enraged and beats around AJ from corner to corner. He goes for an early RKO and AJ avoids it. AJ gets him chasing and takes advantage for a while. Orton with a back elbow as AJ runs the ropes. Orton rakes his face with his knees. AJ moves to the floor and Orton slams him into the announce table. This happened right next to Omus. Orton sends AJ back to the ring and stares at Omus. AJ hits Orton with a flying forearm at the apron. AJ is in control as we go to the break.

AJ is in control as we return. He gets in some punches going in the corner. AJ keeps Orton under control for a minute or so. Orton comes back with a vicious clothesline. AJ kicks out at two-count. Orton goes for a suplex but AJ comes back with chops. Orton hits a backbreaker to get another two-count. AJ blocks a superplex and Orton counters the Phenomenal Forearm. AJ avoids the draping DT and tries get Orton in the Calf Crusher. Orton gets his weight back to avoid it but AJ ends up locking Calf Crusher.

Orton slams his face to get out of the lock. Orton hits the draping DDT now. Orton is signalling for RKO now. Omus gets AJ out of the ring. Alexa Bliss appears on the big screen. She is sitting on the pentagram like last few weeks. She says, “Not Yet.” She lights up a match and the ring gets on fire. Orton is once again spitting black blood. AJ hits the phenomenal forearm to get the pin.

Winner – AJ Styles

AJ exits with Omus. We get Alexa Bliss laughing at the big screen as the show goes off the air.
