Kazuchika Okada & Will Ospreay Qualify for NJPW G1 Climax 33 Quarterfinals
Kazuchika Okada and Will Ospreay have qualified for the quarterfinals of the NJPW G1 Climax 33 tournament from Block B.
The league phase matches for Block B from G1 Climax 33 ended on night 14 on August 6 in Osaka, Japan. Okada secured the first position in the group, while Ospreay came in second.
Kazuchika Okada secured the top spot in the B block with an impressive 6-1 record and 12 points. Okada, who had already qualified for the quarterfinals with a win on night 11, defeated Tanga Loa to secure a top position from the block.

Will Ospreay defeated El Phantasmo in the main event of night 14, securing the second position in B Block and earning a place in the quarterfinals.
Ospreay was in a do-or-die situation Phantasmo and Ospreay were on the same page. He could have advanced either with a win or a draw. However, Ospreay defeated Phantasmo and secured his spot second on the B Block.
On Thursday, Kazuchika Okada will face off against the second-place finisher from D Block, while Will Ospreay will take on the winner of C Block.
Sanada and Hikuleo have also qualified for the quarterfinals of the NJPW G1 Climax 33 tournament from Block A. Sanada is scheduled to face the runner-up of C Block, whereas Hikuleo is set to face the winner of D Block.
The C Block final league matches are set to take place on August 8, whereas the D Block final league matches are scheduled for August 9. The quarterfinals are scheduled for August 10, the semi-finals will be held on August 12, and the final is set for Sunday, August 13.
