Matches Announced for NJPW Wrestling Dontaku on May 3
NJPW Wrestling Dontaku will celebrate its 30th anniversary on May 3, and hence several big matches are announced including three title matches.
The card will be headlined by Sanada vs Hiromu Takahashi IWGP heavyweight championship match. Sanada defeated Kazuchika Okada in the main event of Sakura Genesis 2023 to become the new IWGP heavyweight champion.
David Finlay will try to capture the NEVER Openweight title on the tenth anniversary of the Bullet Club as he aims to defeat Tama Tonga. Finlay wants to establish himself as the new leader of the Bullet Club and hence he is determined to defeat one of the founding members of the group.
Strong Style will put the NEVER Openweight 6-man titles on the line against Kazuchika Okada and his mystery partners. The former IWGP champion Okada is yet to reveal his partners for this bout.
Besides these title bouts, Zack Sabre Jr vs Jeff Cobb, and KENTA vs Hikuleo are also announced. Moreover, the event will also feature the first-ever Young Lion Hat-trick challenge featuring Ryohei Oiwa, Yuto Nakashima, Boltin Oleg, and Oskar Leube.
